  1. Now that we got Dionysos (JAY!!), Demeter, Hestia, Charon, Nemesis, The oracle, Helen of Troy, Dryads and Maenads 🙂
  2. Very impressive list there! 🙂 I have another idea, for a map this time! A frozen lake. The map is of the lake itself, and then you would have cardboard ice floe(?) that you put on the spaces of the lake. The ice would work lika normal ground, but it can break (maybe if you attack it, make an area attack or whatever) making the warriors on the ice to fall in tha lake below. Perhaps you can have sea monsters swim from below, and break the ice? Lots of cool stuff and would be very thematic and cineastic. 😄
  3. Hello everyone! 🙂 As previously stated, I love this game! Its basically the only game I played for months now. But some small bits I dont like as much. Here, we could talk about "fixes" for our pet peeves of this game. They would obviously be variants, and everyone does what they like the most. 😛 Leader-fix: I dont like the leader rule. Its basically useless and selldom comes into play. I like rules that make sense and are used. The leader skill almost never is useful, even though so many minis have it. We have played like this for the last 10-15 games instead; You can use it anytime under the turn, and activate troops either in the space you walked into, OR the space you went from. This way you can charge ahead, and lead by example, or run in and bolster. It has worked great, so I recommend trying it out if you feel leader and troops are a little bit to weak. Point-correction: some units are worth a little to little points wise for how good they are. Say Echidna. She should not be worth 5 points, but she is VERY good for 4pts. A fix for this situations could be a comp-system that gives your opponent AoW-cards if you take the minis. I am not sure what each one should cost yet, but some of the ones that I feel are priced a little weird are Echidna, Prometheus, Acamas and Bellerofon. Deployment-fix; This one is just a thought and would change the game the most. I feel that one thing I dont like as much is that it costs a card to deploy. It feels clunky and slow and kind of counter intuitive. A fix of sorts could be that deployment is "free" and dont cost a card. It would still take an activation, and two deploys in a turn would still cost an AoW but otherwise it would be free. I dont know just yet what this would do with the balance but I think it could speed up the game in the beginning and make more use of some of the units with less cards. Another thing could perhaps potentially be that you would retaliate more often, since you would have more cards. That would be a bonus, since I feel that as of now, its selldom worth to retaliate. I will try this out and report back. 😛 Lets hear your ideas and suggestions! 🙂
  4. I have no problem with nudity per se, but despise the pin up look. Make all females AND males (not only females) as nude or dressed as is deemed apropriate, but skip the high heels and boob armour, and make everyone look like the warriors they are supposed to look like. If people talk about "this is how vikings/greeks looked like (even though the game obviously takes artistic liberties either way) there is no point making pin ups. No viking or greek warriors, male or female wore high heels or stood in silly "sexy" poses when a fight was inbound. :P
  5. Erwan: Good to hear! :) Agree on it being nice with mounted troops. A lot of the famous imagesof the aesir is of them mounted, like Odin on his eight footed horse sleipnir, Thor on hos wagon drawn by goats or Freya on hear drawn by (Probably ferocious!) cats. Yggdrasil is a tree, so would be a map I guess? And Naglfar could perhaps be a super-boat for the water-maps? :)
  6. DIONYSOS! And make it a real Dionysos () and not the Bacchus-one of the art book! I would sooo love it! Maybe make some Maenads for him as well? That would be sweet! :D
  7. MBR confirmed! That is great news! Lets talk about preffered new units and ideas! I start with a copy of a post I made at the good place forum (since this will be our new good place I guess :) ) "I would love to see better representation for woman in the MBR-game. I absolutely love MBP but I think better representation would make the game even better and more accesible. Since we are making suggestions, I will try to make a couple of suggestions for kick ass female models. Everyone can feel free to chip in and help, the more suggestions, the better! As for the design, they can be nude, thats fine, at least as nude as their male counterparts, but make their poses threatening, not like Pin up-models. Make them look like warriors! No combat high heels or boob-plates, but just fierce fighters. If you absoltely have to make some Paolo-stuff, include it in a special "Paolo-box"as an add on, with regular models for the females as well. Goddesses Freya (Godess of almost everything, she is kind of lika a mix of Athena, Afrodite and some mage-god? She is an equal warrior-god to Odin, and gets half of the fallen warriors when Odin gets the other half, she is a fertility godess and the shaman who teaches Odin the power of the runes.
