Stonewolf
My turn Ok these are genre movies and quite old, depending on what you love either really obscure or a breeze Easy - the best horror movie ever Hard - the best martial arts movie ever made (which should make it easy and is a bold statement but if you disagree it's likely because you haven't seen it or are loyal to a favourite - which is fair enough heh) I'm an idiot if these are too obscure Edited September 12, 2017 by Stonewolf
Stonewolf
OK too obscure and in danger of bringing the game to a shuddering halt Let's try again with better judgement Easy Harder Again sticking to the much loved but a bit more widely regarded
Not Quite Dead
You can as well give some clue for your previous movies, if no one was able to guess. Anyway, as the second one isn't so hard for someone who watch French movies, I'll try to fetch some points: The easy one (not so sure, but I'll try), may be One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), by Milos Forman. The hard one, easier for me, is The Professional or Léon: the professional (1994), directed by Luc Besson. Just curious: what were the movies you showed us in your previous post? It didn't ring a bell for me. Edited September 14, 2017 by Not Quite Dead Spelling

It didn't ring a bell for me. Gah.... I'm putting up a Jean Reno film as a hard ask on an anglo-french forum hahahahaha Yup you're spot on with One Flew Over, such a great movie and not easy to find a still without Jack in the middle of it heh You're spot on with The Professional or Léon: the professional, in the UK I remember it as just being titled Leon for a third option. Remarkable for it's performances it's a gloriously haunting, sparkling piece. Besson's best for me. The first of my earlier offerings was Mr Vampire (1985), don't be fooled by the plot synopsis it's one of the funniest movies you'll see, the physical comedy is awesome http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089371/?ref_=ttmi_tt The harder one is still my nomination for the best ever martial arts movie, it also features the genius Ching-Ying Lam but this time Sammo Hung did his best fight choreography work, it's The Prodigal Son (1981). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085211/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_92 I guess the age and the genres made them way too obscure but they are hugely famous movies and way more memorable to me I guess heh Congrats NQD, full points and it's over to you! Not Quite Dead
I must see this Mr Vampire movie. Sounds great! My two movies to guess: Easy one: Difficult one:
Footballzs
Difficult is Rocky Horror Picture Show. Easy I think is Reservoir Dogs.
Not Quite Dead
You're right about the difficult one. The easy one was Casino Royale (2006), the 21th James Bond directed by Martin Campbell. Your turn!
Stonewolf
NQD Mr Vampire is awesome, not so the sequels tho heh I too got Rocky Horror straight away - tells you something of my mental processes, struggled with the easy one till I realised it was Daniel Craig Edited September 16, 2017 by Stonewolf
Footballzs
Ok back to me then. Easy Hard Two very different takes on Japanese culture. Edited September 16, 2017 by Footballzs
Not Quite Dead
The first one is very likely The Last Samurai (2003). For the hard one, I have no idea, but I'd rule out any of the Zatoichi movies, and it doesn't seem to be one of the Kurosawa chambara movies... so... Wakarimasen. Footballzs
The Last Samurai it is. The other was the One Armed Swordsman. Has a scene one could never forget when the hero hops along on two fingers and then kills everyone on a bridge, awesome.
Not Quite Dead
Here are my two movies: Hint: neither of them is Fire, walk with me. Easy: Difficult:
Footballzs
Hard is Fahrenheit 451. Don't know easy. Weird that's the second time I got the hard but didn't know the easy.
Not Quite Dead
Well done for Truffaut's movie! The easy one is Terminator II: Judgement Day (1991). This is during a daydream of Sarah Conor. A most famous scene that haunted my childhood. You're right to guess the difficult movie rather than the easy one: it gives you more points. Footballzs
Ok, me again. Easy Hard Edited September 17, 2017 by Footballzs
Not Quite Dead
I know both of them! The first one is Logan's Run (1976). The second one is THX 1138 (1971). Strange: judging on the movie itself, I suspected Lucas' one to be more recent than Anderson's, but the latter one was made five years after the first one, although it's the more kitsch. Footballzs
Lucas made THX as a kind of test on his abilities to make movies. Logan's Run was...well...very ordinary. Anyway NQD over to you.
Not Quite Dead
Here I go: Easy movie: Difficult movie: Or maybe it's the other way around. With Footballzs, it's sometimes hard to say. :P
Footballzs
Time Bandits and Freaks.
Bawon Samdi
the easy one is Willow (by Ron Howard) but you are probably right about Freaks.
Footballzs
You are right, it is Willow. Once again it appears I am better at the hard movies than the easy ones!
