Scratch building an X-Wing dashborad

With an abundance of cards and markers required to play, an X-Winf game can become messy. Several companies already provides dashboards to help keep everything clean:

I personnaly tried to do it myself, thanks to the Conan game box. The punchboard, once all the tiles are removed, is a good starting point:

 

 

With a box cutter and some white glue ...

 

 

... you can make your own dashboard

 

 

Notice that i had to add a small piece of cardbord in each area otherwise the card may be stuck and really hard to remove.

Field tests:

 

 

Maybe not as fancy as mdf ones but good enough to move from table to table during a tournament.
