Not Quite Dead
Hi there! It's been a quite a while since I've painted something for Conan. Thog was lurking me from my desk for quite a long time, now, but I was pushing back the time to paint it, because I found the miniature kinda intimidating, with a lot of thingies here and there whose I couldn't possibly think what they were and how to paint them. It's now done, and it took me quite a long time, with some errors and trials, and a lot of grumbling for the part of the mini that were difficult to reach. Here's the result:
Epaka
Here’s a new pic of Thog for you savages to enjoy... It’s also a sneak peek at some new scenery I built for a certain ruined fortress board. More to come on that! Seaorgrudy
Here is my Thog. I'm hooked on painting and my wife is getting down too. How do you get the slimy effect is that glossy varnish? Do I have to buy some of that?
Epaka
@Seaorgrudy, yes, a gloss varnish will give a wet look. Lots to choose from, but Games Workshop has a product called Ardcote, which works well. Nice work!

Not Quite Dead
Well, thanks for your kind feedback, @Seaorgrudy! 6 hours ago, Seaorgrudy said: Was that glazing or wet blending? It was mostly wet blending, using a wet palette.
