To answer your questions about The Blasphemy of Gwaednerth:

Yes, those are the stats for Civilians.

Skuthus kills Civilians by attacking them normally and scoring at least 1 hit. (Remember he is equipped with the Sacrificial Dagger so he rolls, if I remember correctly, 3 yellow dice)

Civilians do not move, attack or defend. (Imagine them as bound sacrificial victims) Gwaednerth cannot spend gems to defend Civilians.

The Blasphemy of Gwaednerth is intentionally designed to be a very quick game. It may seem difficult for the Heroes to win at first but there are solid strategies to win. I don't want to give away the strategies, that is for the player to discover. 🙂 But Gwaednerth is a killing machine and the Overlord does not have many gems to work with. A balance is there but it is extremely delicate for both sides.

OK, last one (Rescue in Nordheim):

Leaping From/Climbing a Balcony : A character can move across a railing from a balcony area to a ground floor area as though it were a border. The character rolls 2 Orange Dice for falling damage. If the character has Leap, the character rolls 1 Orange Die instead. A character with Climb can move across a railing from a ground floor area.

This rule is different from the usual Citadel map rule (as seen in the various Citadel scenarios and at the end of the rulebook) Normally, falling damage is Yellow dice, and moving up with Climb costs +1 mvmt.

Is this rule change on purpose ?

A comment regarding the last scenario :

Flying Skill : The Flying skill may be used to cross over an outdoors wall border, however, the Crows must enter an interior
room or hallway through the door.

I reworded the french version to make the "outdoor/indoor" a bit more more explicit (roughly translated hereunder) :

Flying Skill : The Flying skill may be used to cross over walls and obstacles on outdoors areas (snowy areas), however, the Crows must enter and get out of rooms and hallways on indoor areas (non-snowy areas) through a door.

Dear Dan and Ken,

Thanks for the work on this booklet and the Whispers from Stygia booklet. I have yet to try the scenario's (still working my way through the scenario's shipped with the game and in the expansions) but they look interesting and both booklets are produced to a very high standard. It is amazing to see what can be done by talented and dedicated fans. I am currently working on an English language game-aid with reworded versions of the different skills. I have seen the Book of Skelos: Skills game-aid in the downloads, but I have more use for a 1 A4 player-aid which players can easily pass around the table. Plus, creating my own game-aids provides me with an opportunity to get some DTP experience (I am using Scribus) which can come in handy in my personal and professional life later on.

When I noticed the excellent production values of your booklets I thought it would be wise to ask you for some advice on the creation of graphic assets for Conan. I know the fonts are somewhere in the downloads section, so I can get those there. How did you create the images and other graphic assets for your booklets. Does Monolith provide these assets somewhere or did you copy them from existing Monolith material? For example: for my game-aid I am looking for the skill illustrations. I can extract those from the game-aids provided on the Monolith website, but that entails some additional work. If these resources are already available somewhere I could save a lot of time.

Thanks for your reply.

Kind regards,

@Ken Thanks for your reply. I will see what I can manage. My photoshop skills are rather lacking at the moment, but this is probably just the right incentive to start learning 🙂 I will share the results here after a while.

Kind regards,

Pieter

Looking forward to what you come up with!
