pitsbrgparatrpr
Hello, Does anyone know if the miniatures need to be cleaned/scrubbed with hot water/soap? I know some plastics do or the paint won't hold over time? Thanks for any help, and would priming bea good idea for whatever these are specifically made of or would they get sticky/gooey? Thanks!! Not Quite Dead
Hi there and welcome around! I guess the first part of this tuto written by @Roolz may be of some help regarding this matter: On 12/24/2018 at 10:56 AM, Roolz said: 1- Deburring, washing, then spray-prime with Flesh (Barbarian Flesh AP spray primer). Deburring (removing mold lines) is a tedious but necessary step: remaining mold lines are an eyesore once the paint-job is complete. After deburring, tiny bits of plastic and roughness often remain on the mini. To correct this and get smooth surfaces, just take a small stiff brush, soak it in acetone and brush it on these areas. It's a trick from the famous Rémy Tremblay, it works quite well on PVC minis (liquid glue for model kits, as used by Martin G., also works very well!). Washing (with soapy water) eliminates any trace of finger grease deposited during deburring and ensures good primer adhesion. I hope this help! 1
Roolz
This one too. Specific to a Batman mini, but the beginning/prep is identical to the pirates' tuto.
