We played it when you 'free a monster', it is immediately activated. Otherwise there is not enough time to do so for the overlord in the entire game. But, it does not say so in the English description. The question is: Is a monster activated by being 'freed'?

I was reading this today in preparation for the game, and I was curious about activation of these monsters. It seems like they are just there to provide Protected bonus to Skuthus, assuming he can get to them, which doesn't actually seem possible with his movement.
