This week, we would like to show you some pictures of the production copies of the Book of Set, and we are very happy with its quality.
It is on the same level as the Conan Campaign book and we are very proud of the final result.

We’ve heard your lamentations. They came to us over the din of the Maul and had us stroking our beards. You have all been faithful dog brothers and sisters and we wish to heap a small gift upon your already bountiful hoard.

Some of you purchased the Barbarian Pledge during our last KS, and due to the way these current pledges work we thought we should offer an opportunity to at least access the stats of the Heroes and Overlord tiles from the King Pledge. With these, you will be able to use proxy miniatures to play out the various scenarios. With a printer and maybe those spare French tiles (or English depending on your language) as a mount, you will easily be able to create your own home-made tiles. We will start with the King Pledge hero sheets and tiles and work toward getting the stretch goals uploaded shortly after. We may need a little time just to wrap up this campaign first. All sheets and tiles will be uploaded to the-overlord.net.

It is most important for us that you are able to play this game, so this should help break down some barriers, especially for those with a Barbarian/retail box. Feel free to share your proxy ideas with each other on the overlord forum. We are really hoping to see the community take flight over there and we can’t wait to see what you come up with. Some particularly cool custom tiles and sheets have just recently popped up. Have a look for yourself.

Time is drawing short, and we want to thank you all again for your passion for this project. We have no doubt the community will continue to be strong. I mean, not ‘Conan strong’, but you’ve all clearly been hitting the Wheel of Pain. Keep your thews mighty.

As promised we come back to you with news from our Production manager.

After discussion, we are able to open additional Pledge Levels for the Book of Set in English and in French. These pledge levels are already available.

THESE PLEDGE LEVELS WILL NOT BE LIMITED IN QUANTITY.

HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BOOKS OF SET ORDERED WITH THESE PLEDGE LEVELS WILL BE DELIVERED IN A SECOND WAVE, IN FEBRUARY OF 2018.

Again, we have under-estimated the demand on the Book of Set. Our estimates were based on the quantity of Campaign book we sold during the first Kickstarter; it is the closest item we had to the Book of Set.

We are sorry if this created frustration with some of you. It was, of course, not our intent and we hope that this will help to clear the air.

We have several pieces of information this week, so let’s get started.

The revised rulebooks:

The sending of the v2 rulebooks is now complete. We will quickly begin the redirection of the lost, damaged or returned booklets to the sender. Between the compilation of the information, the actual shipment and the delivery deadlines, it will take a few weeks more. We can not, at this point, give you more details on when you will receive them. We are on it; it will just take a little bit more time to work out the details.

The Conan Kickstarter beginning September 5th:

We can now give you a date and time! It will launch September 5th, 2017, 21h Paris, 15h on the East Coast of the United States. Most of the content will be a re-offering of the previously published Kickstarter materials, except for The Book of Set.

It will come as a beautifully illustrated, colored tome of 96 pages, with a hardcover, similar to the campaign book. It will contain approximately twenty scenarios (some of which are already available on our website, with the rest to follow) and a large number of background pages relating to the characters and creatures of the Hyborian Age with:

• texts by R. E. Howard © Bragelonne

• texts by Franck "Pallantides" Magoni

• pictures of painted miniatures by Martin Grandbarbe

• illustrations by Adrian Smith, Brom, Cl4renko and others

Here are some examples of work-in-progress pages of the Book of Set:

The Kickstarter campaign will come in an atypical form:

• An extremely short campaign: only 5 days.

• No Stretch Goals.

• No Pledge Manager: the simplicity of the offerings makes a PM unnecessary. The shipping costs will be available on the KS page.

• No Late Pledges.

• Very few pledge levels:

• the Book of Set.
• The Book of Set + the King Pledge/Box+ Stretch Goals (1,450 English and 350 French).
• The Book of Set + All-in (190 English and 90 French).
• The Book of Set + 7 Kickstarter Exclusive items: Wolves, Valkyrie, Campaign/Art book, Saber-toothed Tiger, Baal-Pteor, Black Dragons, Demon of the Earth (250 English and 100 French).

• Only one pledge per person.

• V2 rules: All All-ins and King Pledges will include the revised version of the rulebooks.

A few other details:

• Extremely short waiting times: Deliveries will start just 5 weeks after the campaign, directly from our French and North American hubs, where All-Ins and King pledges are already stored. The Compendiums will be printed in Europe and the United States or shipped by air. As a result, pledgers will receive their pledges sometime in November, 2017.

• A primo-priced pricing policy: so as to be fair to our initial Conan pledgers, who have suffered from our unpreparedness and who took on the initial risk and endured delays, prices of All-ins and King pledges will be approximately 10% higher than they were in 2015. During our first campaign, our prices reflected the fact that the pledgers assumed a number of risks. They have been patient and have endured long months of delays. So, in order to be fair to those who got us going, the All-ins and Kings + SG prices will be approximately 10% higher than in 2015.

And finally, we will offer you a brand new scenario on our website. It will be included in the Book of Set, but wouldn’t you like a preview? Sure you would!

As we had announced, we brought production copies of Mythic Battles: Pantheon with us at GenCon 50. But what is a production copy? These are the last versions we receive for validation before final production, which you will receive at home.
And the feedback on the stand of Gencon is awesome. You appreciate, as much as we do, the work done by the person in charge of production at Monolith.
We brought miniatures that we had not shown before and we make the most of it today by sharing them with you. Tell us what you think of them?

One year after its release, Conan is still played and much appreciated as the many games that took place during GenCon can testify.
We are very grateful for the feedback that we have from you guys and for the interest you show for our September 5th Kickstarter campaign.
A brief summary about it:
It will last 5 days from September 5th and the pledges will be delivered by November 2017, so very quickly.
It will offer only a limited choice of pledge levels:
- the Book of Set
- the Book of Set + the King box + all stretch goals (1450 English and 350 French versions)
- the Book of Set + All-in (190 English and 90 French versions)
- the Book of Set + a bundle with the 7 KSE add-ons (250 English and 100 French versions)

This will take us to our 2019 Conan Kickstarter campaign where we will explore new Hyborian territories...

Finally, we wanted to let you know that the Stygian expansion is now available in retail.
