I love the miniature and the pose, but for my opinion the cloaks are too bulky! Also some bad guy minion are not anatomic good XD (do not know if you know what i mean). But i really hope that during the KS we will have other figure of each heroes and foe!

However it's ok for Batman to have body armour and a cape. I'm not disagreeing with you but 80 years of Batman have lead us to accept that he can be a superb acrobat while wearing a cape! However I wouldn't have it any other way. Especially if female superheroes can battle in high heels:-)

  2. I don't have Dragon, Giant Wolves and Black Ones, only one of which was a KS exclusives, so they won't all be included in the KS exclusive pack and I not going to go all in.

I also didn't get the guest boxes but I'm not too fussed because it's easy to use alternative models for them.

  3. The first 20 or so issues of Marvel's Black and White Savage Sword of Conan possess some of the best graphic works ever done for Conan. I have them lovingly stored in my spare room somewhere. I'll need to get them out and read them again one day.

Of course it goes without saying, even though I'm saying it, Monolith's Conan board game is amazing. Some of you may have heard of it:-)

  4. Grimmshade you got the easy one correct, the hard one...ummm...no. It's J-Men Forever. A comedy made by doing voiceovers on old movie serials interspersed with some connecting scenes. I first saw it in the early 80's (I know I'm old) at one of those alternative theatres that showed obscure stuff.

Similar to what Woody Allen did with What's New Pussycat?

Also  can I suggest that both have to be guessed before proceeding to the next person. You get some interesting guesses that way.

    Anyway over to you Grimmshade.

For me Conan was defined by Jhon Buscema and Ernie Chan. Cary Nord is my most recent favorite.

I would argue that Frank Frazetta defined Conan but that Buscema used that and  made it the template for Conan.

This image defines Conan for me.

If I play it, I'll be glad to give a feed back.

I'm quite surprised with the Picts being led by a Kushite sorcerer, though. Sounds a bit weird due to their geographic locations.

If you consider that the Pict figures represent an isolated tribe in the jungles of Kush rather than Picts, than that would work.

  7. Having reread his comments he spends too many gems because he hates having to consider his options. Sounds he likes to attack and when he can't that means it's a bad game. He is definitely not the type of guy you'd play chess with. Also he must have either bad lighting or poor eyesight.

  8. In case people aren't aware. All Conan stories published during Howard's lifetime plus most that weren't are available to read online at Gutenberg Australia.

I should mention that you'll need to scroll down to get to Howard's name.

  9. Over the weekend I played Reiner Knizia's Lord of the Rings (2000 version) for the first time in quite a while. A cooperative game, one of the first if not THE first, which pits the hobbits against Sauron. The hobbits must destroy the ring, Sauron must have the darkness overtake them. When I last played it (a few years ago) I wasn't a fan but I really enjoyed playing it this time.

Not sure why the change, maybe I had a better understanding of the rules. Also I probably immersed myself in the theme more than last time.

I played 4 times and won twice and lost twice.

Apparently there is a revised version released more recently which is slightly different.
