  1. Hallo! First of all, apologize me for my latency: they are squeezing me at work. I hope next week will be more quiet. I think there's not even a single image of it: probably it was a cut scene, but nothing is in the published version of the movie, I guess. Regarding the helmet, I think that losing it after losing 4 points of life could be a kind of (further) penalty for the heroes. What do you think of giving the hero the possibility to lose the helmet instead of losing 1 point of life?
  2. I think it's very good to collect all the ideas we talked about here, to try and elaborate an advanced rules section. Honestly I'm not so convinced about the idea of dismounting and mounting that make horses more similar to motorbikes: this scenario sets a battle, where dismounting means having no time to secure your horse, who would probably flee in more quiet areas... 😯 lucky him! Some other ideas are nice and very interesting to try, but I find a bit difficult to figure out advanced/alternate rules, without having tested yet the base game and, after many plays, established a good and solid standard rules. By the way, I'd like to go on collecting here all the others ideas, so we can have all the material ready to discuss the advanced rules, once the base one is ready, tested and confirmed, or/and eventually changed. I have also some other ideas in my mind (Valeria), but I'd prefer to move step by step, finishing and testing the 'standard' game first: I'm sure that many more will come, this way. 😉
  3. Obviously all of these rules (combat, moving, horses...) must be tested. I'd suggest to introduce this rule in oir first rulebook for tests and then verifying it on play
  4. There's no sense, in my opinion, that a warrior can't dismount, but, as you said, it's also a matter of balancing the scenario. But, if the prohibition doesn't make sense, we can introduce a small rule to help the OL to consider his strategy... In the standard game, the OL can sacrifice some gems to 'relive' (can't remember the exact word used in the rules) some dead units per turn; so, here's the small rull: mounted units killed can eventually be reused bythe OL, paying the amount of gems requested; a dismounted/dishorsed unit is definitely eliminated after being killed.
  5. I'll prepare another file tomorrow. I'm sorry I forgot it.
  6. I think I'm gonna try it! Thank you!
  7. I created two specular sheets (front and back), so it's possible to print directly front/back on hard paper. If you prefer, I can divide them, though I think this is the most practical solution
  8. I had a free space so I put a blank one; the captain is the original Monolith token, just put on the printed paper to show the size.
  9. An idea about mounted/dismounted figures: since the prohibition of dismounting for Doom's units doesn't seem to sound so good to me, what do you think if all the dismounted figures cannot be recalled by the Overlord, once eliminated? This should pull the Overlord to choose his personal strategy...
  10. The pdf with tokens and the Life Counter is online in the download section.
  11. Version 1.2

    342 downloads

Tokens and Life Counter for the Battle of the Mounds scenario. Token size: 2,5 cm diameter. Thanks to @Arthadan and @Florentin!
  12. I don't think that cheval de frize could be jumped.
  13. A new PDF file available for the tiles (version 1.2): tiles positions changed so you can easily print front/back side.
  14. A rough trial version to test the scenario... Tomorrow I'll upload the tokens 😉
  15. Ok, but it's better to avoid that the palisades are considered only as 'painted background'.
  16. Not sure about this: they could be a kind of 'border' that can't be trespassed, not a proper area, I guess
  17. Pdf for tiles is online on our download directory!
  18. Version 1.4

    195 downloads

Tiles for Characters, Leaders and Units from the Battle of the Mounds Scenario. Thanks to @Florentin and @Arthadan for his great works!!!
  19. Area 31/1 is perfect! I'd divide area 32: horses should move around the altar, so dividing it could represent this 'slowdown' of their run; splitting this area in 2 would also mean to add one more area and it'd be better in my opinion...
  20. Considering that we have mounted figure who can move up to 4/5 areas, I think we could increase the number of them
  21. I was thinking about the tavern map: the bar is a separated area from the surrounding areas, so that's why I'd divide it. In the tavern the figures can go on the bar with an extra movement and have bonus for fighting from a higher level. I know that it's very difficult that someone can lead his figure/s over the altar, but projecting a scenario, I guess, means to try to preview the more possibilities you can. The stone where Yasmina is tied is very big one and I think it's impossible to climb; but you can hide behind; someone could use it to cover from range attacks... yes I know, it's difficult, but it could be... I'm not sure about how to divide the "4 stones" top, maybe a further division could be the solution? The risk is that the 4 monoliths on this mound are considered as purely scenic elements... some kind of background or pattern on the sand...
  22. 2 small suggestions for the map: - Area 8 should be forbidden to mounted figures (like monoliths rows) - I'd divide areas 1 and 28 in two, and allow dismounted figures to 'jump' on the altar. The altar and the stone where Yasmina is tied are stone that could hide from range attack; the altar could give highness bonus. I guess it could be better to do this to prevent from faqs... @Florentin sorry if I didn't send more pics last night: been home really late.
  23. I'll send you more this evening.
