  1. Here are some pics I captured from the movie. Seems that the Altar Mound could be closer to Yasmina Hill, but I don't think that much. Anyway, I hope these could help.
  2. @Florentin asked for Standard tokens... I had forgotten they were necessary. In case which one do you prefer? 1. 2. 3. 4. @Arthadan Could you please apply your filters to all four? So we can have all the options for our personal home variations... Thanks! If you confirm all the tiles are completed, while you, @Florentin and @Arthadan are making last adjustments on the map, I'll prepare the pdf to share on the download section.
  3. This name is quite simple l, fits perfect and reminds me a kind of troops of Kull army in Howard's tales (remeber that Thuksa Doom is a character from Kull cycle). Since it's simple and has this far memory, I'd go for it, so we have 3 types of army, each baptized by one of us: Fangs of Set --> @Arthadan Riders of Doom --> @Xaltotun Black Guards --> @Florentin Do you agree?
  4. Sure; but I just meant to say that @Florentin last map seemed good to me.
  5. Sure, you're right, but since I'm quite perfectionist too, I think that we should follow Cobbs's sketches if we are in doubt, or when it's impossible to understand the precise position of an item.
  6. Look at Cobbs drawings... http://roncobb.net/09-Conan.html (there's also a map for the Mountain of Power)
  7. Guys, are you sure that the 2 hills are so close? I'm not so...
  8. Yes, but I'm not that sure aboit the position of the mound: I think he climbs not 'frontside'... Maybe it's just a matter of prospective. I'll check better tomorrow night
  9. If I had to choose, I'd go for the second one
  10. I agree with @Bawon Samdi: Kithai extension is very nice because of the map (a 4 floors tower); Nordheim has the best miniatures. My suggest is to check on amazon which one has the fewest number of copies for sale and buy it first.
  11. I think that @Florentin propose is maybe bit closer to the original: in some scenes you can see the princess tied frontside from the monoliths. Anyway, if possible, I'd add all the remaining part of mound with the altar. Temple guards tile: in case you prefer the first one, the horse leg need a small correction, I guess. It'd be good to find if in Cobb's ideas Doom's men had different names. No idea about reinforcement cost... sorry. How many grms would you assing to the OL? Consider this is a final scenario, so he could have more, gained with experience...
  12. So I hope you'd like one of my proposes: 1 Group of 5 Fangs of Set ---> 1 tile 1 Group of 5 Riders of Doom (horned) --> 1 tile 2 Group of 4 Riders of Doom (rounded) --> 2 tiles (different coloured frames) Tot. 18 Riders or 1 Group of 5 Fangs of Set --> 1 tile 1 Group of 5 Riders of Doom (horned) --> 1 tile 1 Group of 5 Riders of Doom (rounded head) --> 1 tile Tot. 15 Riders Maybe only tests could resolve. I'd use the name RIDERS OF DOOM for both horned and rounded, but - if possible - I'd choose different images for the tile and maybe different dice values.
  13. CROM COUNTS THE DEAD TOTAL: 1 Standard Bearer (disappeared) 6 Fangs of Set 3/4 Riders of Doom (horned helmet) 9 Riders of Doom (rounded helmet) KILLING CHART Conan - 8 killing (3 Fangs, 3 Horned, 2 Rounded) + Rexor Subotai - 9 killing (3 Fangs, 6 Rounded) Akiro - 1 killing (Rounded)
  14. Rounded Helmet (in order of appearance) (Please do not consider the numbers, since it was a pointless attempt to recognize each rider) Total: 9
  15. FANGS of SET (in order of appearance) (Please do not consider the numbers, since it was a pointless attempt to recognize each rider) Total 6!
  16. After having dishorsed Rexor...
  17. I'm trying to count the dead, but unfortunately I found what I expected to: 4 horned riders (in order of appearance): and some incongruence... and here's finally the one marked as "1" in the previous post... TOTAL: 3... or 4? And as I told you, the standard bearer on his last appearance, galloping behind Throgrim.
  18. Hallo! Here's the first amount... See the picture below for the 5th rounded helmet (blue); I marked again 2 Fangs (red 4 & 6) just to help you recognize the: mind that between the 2 scenes there's a bit sliding of riders on the right sides. I can try to verify my numbers counting (and recognizing) the dead along the battle sequence... accepting there's no cut scene. DOOM REXOR THORGRIM 1 Standard Bearer 1 Horned Helmet 6 Fangs of Set 5 Rounded Helmet There's probably other horned helmets...
  19. Pages 6 and 7. I think ink they are around 15: 5 fangs and probably 10 or less of the others, but I check exactly later I suggest this name: Riders of Doom it recalls the soundtrack The idea could be 1 tile for Fangs and 2 for riders of doom...
  20. Hi guys! I'm back to life after a couple of days of deadly hard working. I'm really exhausted! About monolith rows I think it's better to try to divide the map first, since this is mostly a matter of areas. Anyway, I think we could also add some (other) special rule for e scenario: I like this game because basic rules are simple, but almost every scenario has his own special rules; that's more true for extensions. Yes we have new rules for mounted troops, but this more a new game system than a pack of rules for a single scenario. So I think we could have definitely no problem in introducing some special area rules expecially for this scenario. @Arthadan I'll check the movie and send you the exact amount of doom riders. In my past posts in this tread you can find all the best images I could capture for riders.
  21. Thorgrim had the solution: dismount from horses and attack the heroes; passages between monolith could be only passagges as said: an hero couldn't stop there, or could do only when resting.
  22. As I'm at my parents I'll make some... Believe me, horrible works from a 13 years old boy...
  23. Honestly, I just decided for the panoply for simple reasons: 1) a token for items/weapons was (supposed to be) needed, so how to represent this kind of equipment? The helmet was just a symbol, but it seemed to me that you could have preferred something more iconic; so weapons or an image with confused equipment... or?... 2) so the panoply with the same weapons used in the battle seemed the best solution to represent what the token would have referred to, in a way that could have been half symbolic and half iconic. That's all. Then I just answered about the panoply just to say that a panoply could have been barbaric too: it's a very ancient use... By the way, I like very much the other one too, and find it appropriate for token suitable for equipment, traps and decoys; mine would probably be more suitable for weapons/equipement only. Anyway I still have the image and, in case, it can be used as an ornamental object on the rulebook or as a token elsewhere or, as @Florentin said, personalizing the scenario; but it can be difficult to offer too much material to choose from. Eventually, we could just make an extra file - outside the rules - with some variants. Now I'll have a break. 'Night guys!
