Maybe I would replace the OL victory condition: << OVERLORD: While Thorgrim and Rexor are alive, before the end of turn 10 the Princess must be captured and taken outside the board by the zone with the reinforcement token AND both heroes must be killed. >> by << While Thorgrim or Rexor are alive >> In fact, I would like to avoid the case where the OL sacrifies Thorgrim (as example) and then Rexor and all the other riders run to the Yasmina's hill to kill her.... What about trying to save the Conan's father sword to be broken ? Maybe a full sword could be catched by Conan at the death of Rexor ? I love the rules of the ancien shield & the set's arrow spell!
  4. In fact, I think it would be funny to allow some stones to be crossable only by men on foot. Yellow circled stones could be these kind of stones. But maybe, it could be necessary to use 1 extra gem for a such movement. So not certain that it would be necessary to modify the map as the stones are already different from the other classical rectangled monoliths. But the stones could be circled by an other color than white to identify them maybe a kind of golden colors ? Thus, different new movements could be authorized. A: 10 <--> 84 B: 37<-->16 (even if path between monoliths is narrow) C: 44 <-->39/40 & 38<-->40 D: 45 <--> 46/43 & 43 <--> 46 E: 30/84 <--> 46/19 What are you thinking about this ?
  5. Areas 3-85: border was updated to smooth the drawing. Areas 40-18 : The update of the border between the both areas was realized. Area 66: To my opinion it is a good thing to keep it as it is! In fact, in the movie, Subotaï sought refuge in this place, to catch some arrows before to go in area 14 and shot on both riders when they were near Yasmina. Note: this area is between two monoliths. So, I think special rule to hide could be applied because Subotaï was not seen when he caught his arrows. Area 67: was deleted because cause of trouble and spikes too. Area 86: was updated as required. + All areas center were changed with a non pixelized bitmap. The map was udpated in the download section.

  9. The updated map has been just produced. Note: Until now, I hadn't time to change all the area circle and so they still "pixelized"! Feel free to comment ! Maps were updated on the download page in BMP format & JPG !

I know well your Job @Arthadan because I was consultant not in IT but in IT engineering for airlines during 10 years and I should recognize that it was not the funnier years of my life because it is a very time constraint environment where customers do not support delay! So no initiative & innovation are supported in this environment if they generate delay ! Creative people have not their place there if they don't want to be too frustrated! I think that we (you and me producing) a lot of things in this adventure: tiles, map & hero cards. @Xaltotun give us some material & advices, he has more time to see the project in its globality and he is a compromise adept, that could be an advantage to avoid too misunderstanding or frustrating situations consequence of our professional skills that are inside us and appear in the Conan the Barbarian project... In order there is no misunderstanding, you are doing a very good job as team coordinator @Arthadan ! The proof is that we are near ready to deliver a first version very soon (I'm working on the map at present). I think @Xaltotun could bring a smoothy approach with our help on the project and so ease the reach of the goals in avoiding too much misunderstanding about why something should be realized or not !

  13. Thank you very much @Arthadan ! Hum...map seems wide to be put on a normal table.... That may be cause of trouble... Nevertheless, it seems to have the good size for the characters, I'm happy of this because I haven't print a map since we met together!
  14. @Xaltotun thank you very much for your wise post ! Thank you @Arthadan for your response ! Thank you @Primeval for your support & help ! I know such projects are risky and work only because the will (of each of us to make it works) exists ! Often, we have not got the same point of view about things but I think even if it is not easy and sometimes frustrating that allows the project to be so successful and appreciates by the community ! Our strength is to communicate and to be wise! I think the team is balanced, adult and is fan of "Conan the barbarian"!, and the 3 last posts are the proof of it ! What we are realizing is a dream that I have had since 1982 and I'm convinced now we are sharing the same dream! I think this project is bigger than us and could become a real success because we are not alone! Just have a look to the Facebook "Conan gaming group"(near 80 fans have a positive opinion about the project on the "Conan gaming group" on Facebook: here since Arthadan talked about the project last week )!!! I met @Arthadan when he went in Toulouse (France) there were few weeks ago! He is a good guy and I spent good time when I discussed with him about the project! But we have not the same personality! That doesn't matter because the wealth of a team comes from the difference as long as the team communicates and listens. I know I have always a lot of ideas to improve or expand the game, and that may be a trap to reach goals without delay! I know @Arthadan wants to do basic & simple choices to allow the scenario to go out fastly and so do not take into consideration the point of views if they are different of his point of view, something that can create sometimes frustration. What was missing was coordination and vision of the final work, so the guy that is the most bossy takes the lead but to my mind it is not the best way ! I'm for collaborative work with a guy that listens the other and make choice or/and asks for the point of view of the others ! In my real life, I'm managing an Innovation laboratory with a team between 10 & 15 people, I'm managing more than 30 projects ! I work in a collaborative manner and... that works! I think that you @Xaltotun, as you listen each point of view with respect and consideration, you could manage this project by helping us to make choices, by arbitrating and leading a planning of activity, give actions to everyone! I do not know if you would like to do this, but to my mind you would be a perfect team leader for the project! As an example, if you doubt just have a look at your last post! You are the guy for this activity ! Of course @Arthadan, me and maybe @Primeval would be here to help you ! Team what are you thinking about this ?
  15. @Arthadan ! You are not alone on the project ! Sometimes when I read you, I have the impression you are doing the project alone ??? I think that in the package for the battle of the mounds it would be necessary to use pictures with the right armor for the heroes! In fact at this first step, we have only one scenario. When we look to our production speed, it is clear that the next scenario would be produced in many months! So I'm convinced that for the fans players, it would be better to have heroes cards consistent with the scenario! In the future we will use, as an option, the only one card solution for heroes, for the whole scenarii of the campaign for those who would like to save their printer ink cartridges! To be consistent with your improvement, I will update the new skill for Subotai on my Subotai's "hero cards" !
  16. I understand now your point of view about characters sheets but I'm not agree with the choice of the Conan picture no more for the Subotai one ! For me, they are two specific to specific scenes of the movie! If you would like only one hero card for each heroes It would be better to choose a Conan, Subotai's pictures that is representative of them in the Cities! look at the various pictures of the heroes: To my mind, I thing people are enough adult to know what they would like to print! It is better to let the choice to players to print or not the heroes card they would like ! I find it would be a good idea to propose specific hero card printing for each scenario! But if for economic reason or other, people prefer to work with only one hero card for the whole game they could do what they would like and not consider the aditionnal heroes cards ! I can send you all the pictures I used: they are to the community for the game and the project! Which format would you like to have: gimp ? jpg? bmp ? other ! After I can update the heroes card too ! Yes, I'm agree if you choose only one card for Subotai the Lock-picking is a good choice !
  17. Why did you modify the Subotai hero card & suppress this skill without updating the card in this topic ? I don't remember to have discuss together about this ? That doesn't matter! In fact, to my mind, we can do what we want because we have not yet begin to play & evaluate/test the game! Moreover, I think it is too early to say that game is not balanced consequence of only one skill modification for only one hero! But I can modify the card if it is judged dangerous for the balance of the game ! Furthermore, I have the feeling that a lot of heroes skills could be updated in the future after many game tests to balance the game! Whatever about skill, @Arthadan, I think it is a pity to use heroes cards with pictures that don't match with the battle of the mounds. In fact, The Subotai's picture that was used is the one that could be used with the wolfs witch scenario not for the battle of the mounds. The Conan's picture that was used could be used for the cave battle not for the battle of the mounds. I understand these pictures were used because they were available at the beginning of the projects to do the heroes cards and it was a good thing ! Now, we are doing our best to be the more representative in this scenario than the movie. As an example, consequence of your remarks, I change some degrees orientation of the Yasmina's stones. I think it is time to use the right heroes cards and for each next scenarii!
  18. I think the use of the alternative heroes cards I created would be more immersive for the heroes ! The ones you created @Arthadan would be great for other scenario of the campaign!

  20. Great!!!! I think you could put the princess on the monolith or on the border line with the Monolith ! How do you print the map ? On which paper ? Riders are wonderful !!!! Could you send a picture @Arthadan of the map with miniatures from above please ? Did you stick the tiles on cardboard ? And the heroes cards ? It yes, what kind of cardboard did you use ?

I have only one remark at present about OL conditions Victory: when Yasmina has her ropes cut maybe it would be great to indicate a specific area to leave the map, for the guards with her? Maybe behind the Valeria's Altar ? What are you thinking about this?
