  1. I have just finished some updates requested by @Arthadan:

    Some additional areas were added !

    Moreover, I have added area in some spikes zones ! I thought that for a cost of 2 in movement heroes could enter in these specific areas when they seek refuge !

    But heroes can be attacked by adjacent characters !

    Nevertheless, they win 1 of protection because the attacker has difficulty to attack consequence of spikes!

    Yes this is interesting ! But as you said Boris don't want to sell it ! I saw this on this Facebook site for 6 months ! This is sad !

    What should be great, if he gave us the opportunity to have a 3D scan of his mini freely to print it and freely !!!

    Purpose for him to do this is only to advertise ! The advertising would be better if he would do this ! :dwarf:

    What miniatures are you talking about ? Have you drawings concept ?

    I'm dying to see this !

    I don't understand why you would like to modify this passage (area 30 & 35)! I think that Conan & Subotaï wanted to bound the riders to pass near the monoliths where Conan is hidden in order to kill them with his axes! But if we put bushes or palissade in the middle of the path, horses would turn around and would avoid the deadly axe...and Conan wouldn't get rid of them at first passage!

    I think we should keep as it is the map for this area in order to be quite representative of the movie !

     

    But as expert rules I propose you to create the possibility to offer players to place their own spikes palissade & bushes areas to create his own map !

    If so, I have suggestions:

     

    Further divide biggest areas:

     

    -Area 6: Perhaps leave the pallisade in one area and the part between the pallisade and the monoliths as another?

     

    - Area 13 and 11: perhaps divide the monolith part as an area o its own.

     

     -Area 30: I'm not sure about the bushes growing in a perfect line forming a "wall". Could they be moved to form a more irregular shape or remove some of them?

     

    I'll make a more detailed proposition for rezoning the monolith field.

     

     

    - for area 6, it is not a palissade but spikes ! I divide the space 6 in both spaces: 6 & 35 but spikes are in the border of the both area ! I think they should disturb the rider in the both areas.

    - for area 13 & 11, I'm totally agree ! This is a very good idea !

    - Area 30 bushes didn't grown in perfect line ! This is Subotaï & Conan that put a spikes palissade that made that with bushes seem to be a wall!

    It would be great to have an other picture... maybe some capture from the scene in Conan the destroyer at the beginning?

    Thanks for the kind words  - I actually have changed it up a bit - still has the ability shown above but wanted to make it reflect the name a bit more, so here is the new one, which actually might be altered for your scenario to work better - maybe instead of nearest chest, you could have the nearest token picked up and count that as the character looting his dead victim.

    Honestly I'm not so convinced about the idea of dismounting and mounting that make horses more similar to motorbikes: this scenario sets a battle, where dismounting means having no time to secure your horse, who would probably flee in more quiet areas... 😯 lucky him!

     

    Some other ideas are nice and very interesting to try, but I find a bit difficult to figure out  advanced/alternate rules, without having tested yet the base game and, after many plays, established a good and solid standard rules.

     

    By the way, I'd like to go on collecting here all the others ideas, so we can have all the material ready to discuss the advanced rules, once the base one is ready, tested and confirmed, or/and eventually changed.

     

    I have also some other ideas in my mind (Valeria), but I'd prefer to move step by step, finishing and testing the 'standard' game first: I'm sure that many more will come, this way. 😉

    Nevertheless, If you have ideas I suggest you to write them because good ideas often go away  !:wink:

    It's better to write à bad idea than to risk losing à good idea!

  11. Extended rule n°2 : Arrows management - Subotai's arrows

    for the Conan the Barbarian's scenario: The battle of the Mounds.

     Subotai is so overloaded with his heavy armor that the has decided to place some arrows in strategic points instead of carrying them with him and to risk to lose them while running.
    - He has a limited numbers of arrows for his bow in this scenario, 15 arrows only
    - Any arrow token taken by a character with a bow will increase the arrow number by 1 (arrow tokens are placed by the heroes, along with some more items, see the following special rule, "the dead will help us").

    - Only one arrow token can be carry at one time by Subotai.

    - Some arrows stake can be set in some strategic places to easily shoot the attackers!

    - The gem cost to catch an arrow is 0.

     

    What are you thinking of this @Xaltotun ? Would you like to change things ?
