  1. The latest Book if Set preview with Conan on the cross has generated surprisingly little comment. When compared to some of the outrage displayed over other images it does say something, just not sure what! Apologies, but I placed this under the wrong topic.
  2. Wow, can't wait to here the outcry about this one! Looks amazing!
  3. Thank you again (I also posted in the French site).
  4. I created this topic as it didn't exist. When activating a slumbering unit can they also move and attack as part of that first activation, or does that require a second tile activation?
  5. A scathing assessment of Conan has been placed in the BGG forum. https://boardgamegeek.com/blogpost/67562/games-played-july-2017. Obviously doesn't like tactical games.
  6. Whoops, I just realised you would have been referring to the preview.
  7. An English version will be available as well.
  8. To be honest, I will buy it whether Crom approves or not
  9. Sorry for the late response, but you cannot attack; it is for movement only.
  10. I think that it has to be noted that you have 10 turns. Look at no more than one chest per turn. Ignore the potions once you have found the crowns. The halberd is a great weapon and 1 gem will kill most characters unless rolls are poor. Also the OL has a low gem return count so cannot defend too much. In my opinion, Thak is the problem in this scenario. However careful use of set's possession can be helpful. It is tough for Yogah but can be done.
  11. Agreed. The Sabertooth is surprisingly underpowered. Considering its description in Beyond the Black River I would have expected more. It doesn't even have any skills. I would have given it evade or feline grace at a minimum. Compare it to Conan's Lion, which is just a normal lion after all. As mentioned use it early before it is killed.
  12. This scenario is excellent. I played this last night as the OL and just missed out in killing the last guard. I lost my tiger after 4 turns but not before she killed 4 guards. The rest I killed using the Pict archers, but it required a few re-rolls. I missed out on killing the last guard because a Pict warrior was prevented from moving into his area by Balthus who was standing in the way. If the warrior was one space closer I would have a chance to kill the last guard and win the game. One thing I noted was that Balthus' archery skills are great. He killed a large number of Picts and even though I managed to reinforce a few times. It took a while for them to move into the centre where the guard was located. The tiger was killed by Conan and Slasher. Conan did 5 damage and Slasher did the rest. That dog is tough. As OL I will use the tiger as much as possible early, because the heroes will probably try and kill her quickly. She is the only creature that can easily kill the guards, the picts require good dice rolls and the use of re-rolls. The archers should be used to kill the guards in the middle of the village and the other Picts used to kill guards closer to the edge. I will move guards toward the centre as soon as possible.
