My brother is, indeed, a lucky devil. He's found, two weeks ago, in a flea market, a European box of Heroquest, along with two extensions (Karak Varn and Return of the Sorceror). It is like-new, nothing is missing, and it costed him around 5$.
We've spent last Sunday playing and painting it with his girlfriend, my wife and my son.
It was quite pleasant to paint together (I usually paint alone). The goblins are, of course, still WIP, but it goes fast. Maybe the Heroquest miniatures will be painted much faster than those from Conan... As long as we can meet on a regular basis.
What about you? Do you still play at it, by nostalgia? Do you keep it in a display case, defended by security agents?

The excellent website made by Dr. Jekheal: http://conan.paintings.free.fr/?page_id=14&lang=en
This subject is posted here and not in the Paint and Scenery section, because Conan Paintings doesn't only census the miniatures of Monolith's game (painted or not): it adds to each figurine its artwork and extracts of Robert E. Howard novels. The website has been approved by Monolith and Patrice Louinet, the official translator of Conan in French.
Topic initially written by @Pallantides on the French-speaking forum.

@Pyramidou has made a playlist on youtube of music that fits well to a Conan game. You should find there tracks that will give an epic atmosphere to your regular dice rolling business, from the background score of the Conan movies to the incidental music of videogames. Although most of the music is putting the emphasis on fight, you should find in that playlist some harrowing tracks, that should give the creeps to your heroes if needed.
And you, do you use ambient music while playing Conan?

Scratch building the Winged Ape
in Paint and scenery

Scavenging ones daughter's toys in order to build a Conan miniature...
Cimmerian fatherhood is really something else.
Joke aside, excellent job: the flying ape is really convincing, with a stunning base (although it is square instead of round)! Thanks for the tuto!
