  1. Don’t know how I missed Inversion not being legal. I’ll change that out, sorry.

There may be a challenge if the Dark Demon gets to the exit area because if it’s a blocker then they can’t leave that space until it’s defeated. I guess defeating it could mean it just disappears to return another day but it would be cooler if it were so terrifying that they run for their lives instead of fighting. I’ll see.

  2. By the way, I think there's an error on the Khitai board. One tile seems to have two of the ranged targets on it. As it is, this board isn't half as friendly as I thought it might be for Crossbowmen, so I may make some changes. But that's why we test, I guess.

  3. WOAH. Inversion is an amazing spell. Yogah can move forward, kill stuff, and then use Inversion to switch places with someone so that they can move and then kill more stuff. On this map, it means that Yogah can kill the first two Javelin Thowers, then switch places with Shentu who runs in to attack the others in the shrine. Yikes.

  4. Playtesting for "Fight or Flight?" begins this week. I’m thinking of changing it so the OL gets two Dark Demon tiles just to make it even more terrifying.

I've just spotted that the conan-scenarios site doesn't have the tile for the amazing Crossbowmen - 2 0 red reroll (3 points to reinforce). Can that be added, please?

  5. Mine really doesn’t have to be an amulet at all. I don’t want t to negatively impact other scenarios. The point is that they have two objectives and have to work out if they go for 2-0 or settle for 1-1. It could be anything in the shrine.

I like the idea of the medallion - I will rework my idea for shards from the idol to not be redundant with this.

Actually, I've realised that there isn't a medallion card. I'd rather use something that has a card so that they can physically hold it. Now that I'm at work I don't have access to all the cards. Can anyone say what's available?

    Hi,

I'm the webmaster of Conan-scenarios.com, sorry to hear you lose your work.

Can you tell me what do you do exactly and when is the option of saving is not allowed?

The session time is the standard : 30 minutes. But if you're disconnected, it will ask you for your crédentials before saving.

I've just tested to disonnect my session before saving and the editor ask for my credential, then save correctly so I'm a little puzzled of how the glitch happend.

    Thanks for your help :)

Firstly, thanks for your amazing website.

It seemed to start with the Javelin Throwers. Once I added them it refused to save. But then it cleared up. Certainly, the first time I went for way too long and must have exceeded my session length before saving. But the other times it sometimes didn't save. After talking with my wife, it may not be an issue with your site and may be our crappy internet connection.

    Thanks

  8. Okay, I don't know what to do. I just spent over 90 minutes preparing my scenario and it didn't save and now I've lost it. I'm slowly putting it back together again but it seems that there's a glitch so that it doesn't always allow the option of saving. Anyway, I'll try to flesh it out again.

@Neil Amswych, I think we need a 3-4 weeks to consider everyone's schedule. I'm probably only going to have time for a session once per week. So let's say second week of February we should see a near finished scenario?

3-4 week’s for finished?!? You’re kidding, right? These things have to be playtested to death to be balanced. My The Darkest Trick scenario took 6 or 7 weeks and that didn’t have any elements carried over from previous scenarios.

OK, I have the first draft of The Streets of Khemi. This is actually a revised version (my gaming group play-tested the original a couple of times last weekend). Obviously, the story will need tweaking, but I think the general premise captures what we discussed. Of course, we will need plenty of play-testing and revisions, but I wanted to make this available.

As far as the alternate final battle, I would be happy to tackle that with my idea in the ruined fort with Yogah as the bad-guy. I will work on that soon.

Nice start. @Matt John S, when would you like to see the first draft of the scenarios by? I have a group who are ready to start testing soon but obviously have work commitments etc, so a rough deadline would be helpful.

@Ken I like the fact that the two villains can only move their base movement each turn. I was worried because I thought for a moment they could reach each other really quickly!!!

  11. Looks good to me. I’d prefer minimal item progression because it makes playtesting each scenario far easier. Progression could be shared gems or maybe Hadrathus level up.

Yes, Nordheim is way the *can we really say this word in this forum* away so maybe some magical visit is the way forward. I would still be happy to do a ships scenario if you would rather make it a physical visit, though. Happy to be one of the people who jumps on that as an optional scenario if you’d prefer.

Oh wait, the death squad burn the tavern scenario! Do you not want that one? I won’t take it personally but I do think it’s an interesting different take on the usual tavern scenarios. Your call - you’re the boss.

@Neil Amswych- are you working on a sea scenario? We can shift mine to being at sea- the idol could be crossing  the Vilayet and the heroes catch up to the ship to stop it. Same victory outcomes and is one less travelling scenario, this would go after yours in the third slot, with Matt's to follow. Or we can just put your sea scenario after mine in the 4th slot, depending on how many scenarios we want.

Yeah I’ve been thinking about chests, and not just because I’ve been painting Belit all evening. 😉

Something about raiding one of Thot’s ship and trying to discard his chests overboard because whatever is inside must be lost at sea never to be found. But they can’t just chuck everything overboard because there’s valuable stuff inside a couple of chests as well. So instead of a hack and slash, it’s an effort to stay alive while raiding chests.

Of course the temptation would be to

kill everyone on the ship and then just chuck things overboard so I’d have to work out a way to discourage that.
