Xaltotun Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 (edited) Would you bet that these could have inspired John Milius? Edited September 23, 2017 by Xaltotun 3
Pallantides Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 (edited) I'm sure that Ron Cobb knew this when he designed Conan. Source : http://roncobb.net/09-Conan.html And the amazing site of Ron Cobb : http://roncobb.net/ Edited September 24, 2017 by Pallantides 5 2

Epaka Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Ron Cobb's production designs have always been absolutely peerless, and his work on CTB is a landmark achievement IMO. As much as I enjoyed Jackson's LOTR films (with some reservations), it was a huge disappointment to hear some of the production team disparage Conan on the extended edition extras. I assume it came from a place of ignorance, because CTB is simply as good as it gets in big budget filmmaking. 4
Matt John S Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I love the '82 film almost as much as Howard's works and despite my love for Howard's works. It's a stunning film on so many levels, and in so many areas. Almost time for a re watch. 4 1
