Not Quite Dead Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Hi there! A miniature that is quite difficult to paint, in my opinion, mostly due to its face and to the OSL, with that fireball. Here's mine: I'm looking forward to see your priests of Azura Asura. 1
iolaran Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 (edited) Agree, Hadrathus' face is one of the most horrible things to paint out there. Here's mine Edited February 18, 2018 by iolaran 2
Warlocksley Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 I was pleased with the fireball... not so much the face :( 1
Walrusboy77 Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 I agree his face is very badly sculpted. if I had to do it over again, I would probably just paint his face as a bronze mask, with the spell light reflecting off of it. It makes sense character wise since he is part of a despised cult and would want to hide his Identity as much as possible while traveling. 2
Not Quite Dead Posted April 27, 2018 Author Posted April 27, 2018 Although the miniature is flawed, yours is gorgeous. I'm stunned with the quality of your work. It's precise, masterful. Makes me want to cry (due to the contrast with my paintjob) and ask for more as eye candy! Kudos! 1
Walrusboy77 Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Thanks! Although most of the work was from the airbrush I had just bought before this picture. 🙂
Ryan27184 Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 Here mine as some of the forum members commented the face was a pain to paint. As with all my minis don't look great close up but really add to the tabletop. 2
The Captain Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 (edited) Yep, something's wrong with the poor guy's face. That includes something extra in my photo of him, because theres no green stain on his face around his mouth in real life. I didn't bother painting any OSL effects for the fire - I'm not good enough with OSL to make it look "just right" so it's safer to leave it out. Edited February 8, 2019 by The Captain 2
