  1. The link seems to be broken, the same holds true for the mapboard and the character sheet links in the scenario. Luckily I saved them and I made also a new character card, here they are: Shadows in the Moonlight.pdf
  2. Hi. Thanks for the awesome campaign and all the extra material, like the new map boards. I have downloaded version 2.2, and found some minor typos: Tiles: there are some names on the tiles in the Book of Skelos that doesn't correspond with the printed names on the tiles, like Pict Bowmen (Pict Archers), Bossonian Bowmen (Bossonian Archers), Scorpion Queen (Scorpion Broodmother), Ape Men = Grey Man Ape. I guess that every Conan player will easely recognise these tiles. Two tiles have others skills: Scorpion Queen (= Scorpion Broodmother) + 1 extra skill: Poison, Giant Snake: has poison now in stead of Wall wrecker. These tiles are not provided in the addenda. If the player knows these differences, it is not a problem of course, but it is worthwhile to point it out. Minor French translation thingies: page 38: Le necromancer, should be The necromancer page 42: Belit (avec son armure) fait face à l'homme-singe avec ses seuls poings. Should be: Belit (with her armor) faces the ape-man with only her fists.
  3. Wonderful, and a great job. I have some questions about the new format: a. After scenario 1, the number of heroes on the scenario sheets is always 1, as in the original single scenarios. I guess this number must be 4 heroes on all scenarios? b. In scenario 4, "A stranger in a strange land", the heros can unlock Heracles, and this hero was described in the original rules. In the new Campaign book, Heracles is only mentioned in the scenario, but not in the recruits section, where - instead - Constantius is mentioned as a new recruit. I guess we should substitute Heracles with Constantius in that scenario? In order to play with Constantius, I suggest that some text of the scenario should be changed Introduction: change the text into: "By Taramis, that's some strong mead!" The heavy muscled man slammed his cup onto the bar. "Now, about this adventure you spoke of. I won't have traveling companions that don't know how to have a thunderous good time. Why, when I battled whith my Shemite mercenaries...." His words trailed on as the companions reluctantly paid for another round. The foreigner was renowned for his brutal force, but was proving to be an expensive recruitment. If they wanted to be successful drastic measures might need to be taken. Note: I changed Zeus into Taramis, the queen Constantius so much desired. Also, there was no Hydra in Constantius' world, so I changed that text phrase too. I was tempted to change mead into beer, but that drink is not expensive - instead of mead, which should be a rare and expensive drink. Some physical properties are also changed, to describe Constantius appearance. Objectives: change the text into: Heroes: If the Heroes consume 6 drinks with Constantius by the end of the the 9th round, the Heroes win the game. Constantius is unlocked as a playable character. Overlord: If the Overlord prevents the heroes from consuming 6 drinks by the end of the 9th round, the Overlord wins the game. Constantius exits the bar seeking adventure elsewhere and the heroes do not cross paths with him again. c. On page 4 of the new Campaign book, Constantius is introduced as a new hero, but there are no cards for this hero provided in the 'Cards to print' section on page 29. Although you can make these cards yourself, if would be a good idea to add the Constantius level cards also to the Cards to print section. d. A suggestion: if you make a new version of the Campaign book, it would be nice that the campaignbook provides also a table of contents and a pagenumbering e. Minor nitpicking: the Cards to print gives me a bit old yellowed impression of the cards, a whiter shade of pale [sic!] background should be better, I guess. In the attachment you find a new tilesheet, you can print it on A4 paper, choose a thick paper to make solid cards. A Haunted Mind Campaign (2020)_Tilesheets.pdf

  7. Recently I posted on the Conan's Facebook-group an idea for an Equipment Deck which is especially designed for Worthles (but sometimes not entirely useless) Objects. Several users suggested that is is a good idea to post them on the Overlord's Forum. Well, here the are. Feel free to use them in your scenarios or campaigns. How do these Worthless Objects work? In a Campaign or Scenario the specific goals let you sometimes search for objects, where each object is represented by a chest or number token. Only 1 token shows the thing or person you need to find. The other tokens (or chests) are just blank. That's so dull and unimaginative, isn't it? Well for those who really want to find something, I designed an Equipment deck of Worthless objects. You cant do anything with these objects, but I bet you get a big laughter if you find only the 'Empty Tear Collector', in stead of the desired sword or captive princess. Some objects are even useful, although only once. Such objects can be thrown to a person, and shatter when the action is done. Maybe Conan's next favorite weapon is the Pictish Coprolite, or a Nordic Drinkin'Horn. You never know. After the object is thrown, it is broken and finally useless - after all. You can fight some nice inn fights with some objects, but use them wisely. So not too much, since they can unbalance a scenario. But who cares if you can thraw the mighty Khitan Chamber Pot!? You can find the cards, together with the You find me cardset, in the download section. Have fun with it! Organise a Bar Fight! NOTE: don't tweek the cards. Some cards without a range symbol can be thrown in real life (like the lamps or the pictish tablet), but thats not the case here (Monolith's Conan is not a RPG-game) and it was never my intention to use dead flies as poison or a pictish clay tablet as a projectile. If there is no range symbol on the card, than the card is just a simple replacement for an empty chest symbol. Of course, you can also add some of the Worthless cards to the Treasure deck - especially if the players have the idea that everything is too easy. In that case, add some single use objects into the Treasure Deck, together with the more valuable regular objects. It is all up to you. The main idea of these cards is to have fun, especially when someone is rushin' into a room for a better weapon and only find the infamous Aquilonian Chamber pot or some dust and dead flies. Have fun with Conan!
  8. Ok thx a lot. I will work on it next week, since I have to change the title smudge and title options, french is a more elaborate language than the compact english (longer words, I see that in the french flora's too ... long names - I am an ecologist with specialisation into vegetation science). French speakers will get these 2 pictures too. Can you both translate them? Thx a lot - Ron
  9. Its in the afore mentioned document, right above your comments. The French version will get some different art. I made the Khitai Pot de chambre a bit more clay, so it give you the impression that it can shatter easely. I will probably add a Pictish Totem as well, with an artistic head of Frederic Henry (need to pic a frontal from him from a Youtube video).
  10. Thats okay, than I make the cards and sheets. Here is the complete set as uploaded on the Facebook Forum: PDF FILE: YOU FOUND ME! Description: YOU FOUND ME! This cardset can be used together with the worthless equipment card set (Conan Monolith). You can use them for specific scenario rules, e.g. find the princess, find a key, find the sword, treasure, man etc. You can use these cards in various ways. For example, in the beginners' scenario 'In the Clutches of the Picts'. It works as follows: 1. Static placement For the 'In the Clutches of the Picts' scenario, place the numbered marks on the gameboard, as shown in the setup diagram. Now, make a Worthless equipment deck of at least 7 cards (prefereably with some Pictish objects). Don't add ranged cards with the shatter symbol for the official scenario, since it can unbalance the scenario (you have to tweek it if you want to use some one-time worthless objects with the shatter symbol). Shuffle the deck without looking at the cards, and draw seven cards. These cards resembles 7 random token numbers. Now add the Princess (or another card with the text: you found me). Shuffle the deck again and lay them in a row next to the gameboard, each card adjacent to another, with the backside up (you cant see the objects). After this, place on each card a number marker, the same amount and the same numbers which are on the gameboard. As soon as you enter a hut, remove the number marker from the gameboard and draw a Worthless Equipment card with the same number marker. Did you find the princess or just some 'dust and dead flies'? 2. Random placement Same as above, but place 8 shield-style tokens in the huts, numbers are not needed). Shuffle the deck. As soon as you enter a hut, remove the token and draw a card from the Worthless Equiment deck. Find your Princess -- ahh ... You found me! Random placement Variant: make a deck of 7 cards, 1 card is the Cimmerian beer mug, the rest is your own choice, but no other ranged-single use cards may be added to the deck (or tweak the scenario and add more single use ranged objects to the deck; in that case the Overlord may regenerate more gems in the Book of Skelos...). After you have succesfully entered 2 huts, shuffle the princess card into the deck. In this way, you cannot find the princess in the first two huts. Less luck, more skill, more fun! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You found me - Equipment Cards.pdf Deck_of_Worthless_objects_Conan_Monolith_RVv1_2018.pdf

PDF FILE: Deck of Worthless Objects (for Conan_Monolith) (v1.1 2018) New version - see download below!! NEVER AN EMPTY CHEST - NEVER A DULL MOMENT IN AN INN OR DURING A CASTLE FEST Bored of empty chests or rules that only say that your recently opened chest is empty? Or is the Campaign you play too easy because all the heroes acquired valuable items during the 1st and 2nd scenario? Well here are some cards to make a Treasure Chest deck, full of worthless and mostly useless objects. But they are worth a laugh and therefore - maybe - even priceless. Off course you have to add some serious stuff to the treasure deck also. On the other hand ... some worthless objects can be throwned to a specific target. Although they shatter easely, these worthless objects aren't useless entirely. Rules for Worthless Equipment Cards These cards are essentially designed for treasure chests or token rewards. I wanted to make the rules for the cards as simple as possible. Objects without a range token, with encumbrance 0, can be used as empty chest items. They are utterly useless and worthless, but they are worth a laugh off course. Equipment cards with a ranged symbol can be thrown to another miniature (plastic model) or to an object (if the scenario has one specified). Throwing an object works like throwing a knife or axe; with the following rules: 1) Before throwing, name the object you want to hit; you can only target 1 object (usually a miniature) 2) Broken flask symbol: The object can only be used once. As soon as it is thrown, it shatters when hitting a target (or when missed: it shatters on the ground or the floor). 3) Numbered Ranged symbol: the black and white ranged symbol means the maximum range. Example: the Stygian Chamber Pot has a range of 1. It can be thrown in your own area, or in any adjacent areas with a clear line of sight. It cannot be thrown into an area which is 2 spaces away from you (dont count your own area). Normal hindering rules for ranged attacks applies. PDF FILE: YOU FOUND ME! Description: YOU FOUND ME! 13. Good to see this! What a lovely painted miniatures. I will update BGG soon with this great info. Tyvm.
  14. I was advised to post this variant also on The Overlord. Well, here it is. You can find the article and character sheets at: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1951106/feminising-conan Ok I know, Conan is a males world, created in the 1930' with lots of half naked women. But Conan is also a great boardgame which should be played with as much people possible from your gamegroup, friends or family. But in most cases, if you wanna play as a girl in a balanced scenario, you have to choose a male's character or a half naked boobygirl like Bêlit. Although I don't mind the pictorial setting of Conan, I can understand that some people just don't want to play Conan with all these booby girls and rather play some other game instead. But that's of course not necessary. You can use another character from the Monolith's Conan world, like Zelata or Valeria. Unhappily, these are from the King Box and rather expensive and difficult to obtain. In that case, you can also us a miniature (28 mm!!, mind the size) from another company (pls Monolith, reissue the female characters which are hard to get). For families or gender mixed gamer groups who want to play the original scenario's with balanced characters, you can make proxy characters, by coping the exact stats of the hero and using a different miniature. For our gaming group I created several female character sheets, to enlarge the fun and make it possible to play the game with people who want more variety in female characters (or less boobs, whatever you want). As a replacement for the male/female Conan miniatures, I have chosen for the female miniatures from Darksword (just because I like these miniatures, I don't have any commercial connections with this manufacturer). So, here is the feminised Conan setting: Balthis, a female variant of Balthus. Of course you can use Slasher as her companion. U can use this miniature from Darksword for Balthis: The miniature is a female wildling with spear (Game of Throne mythos), sculpted by Jeff Grace https://www.darkswordminiatures.com/shop/index.php/wilding-s... Bêlit in red dress, a warmer dressed variant of the core game Bêlit. The drawings of Bêlit in red dress and winter dress is adapted from the Dark Horse Conan comics (Massimo Carnevale). You can use this miniature from Darksword for a red dressed Bêlit, paint the dress red, or brown for Belit in winter dress: You can also use this minature for Bêlit: Bêlit in winter dress - for a Nordheim scenario. This is also a female variant of the core game Bêlit, adapted from the cover art of Massimo Carnevale (Dark Horse, Conan Comics). This is Bêlit from the Brom-box (where she is explicitely naked), in red dress (adapted from the Dark Horse comics). This is also Bêlit from the Brom-box, now in winter dress. And the miniatures can be found here: https://www.darkswordminiatures.com/shop/index.php/female-ro... https://www.darkswordminiatures.com/shop/index.php/glenraven... I have made two artist impressions from the painted miniatures, just to see how they work out if you painted the dress red or brown-orange. here is the result: Ahh Bêlit, isn't she gorgeous? And here ... Red Sonja, this character card is a copy of Conan from the Core Box. The drawing is and adaptation from Yamandu Orce Red Sonja, on Deviant Art. So, if you want to play with this Sonja, you have to replace Conan. And yes, I know, this is a bikini girl with scales and boobs... But her dress is totally comparable with Conan's half naked body. U can use this miniature from Darksword for Red Sonja: The miniature is sculpted by Jeff Grace, see https://www.darkswordminiatures.com/shop/index.php/female-ba... Oh, and when this version of Red Sonja is in play, than don't use the Conan character card(s) from the core game or other boxes! In stead, use the young Conan character sheet if Red Sonja is present... This young Conan is to be used as a replacement for an other male fighter character, in scenarios where Conan is replaced by Red Sonja. The drawing is from one of the Dark Horse Conan the Barbarian (Massimo Carnevale). Red Sonja, a custom character to be used at your own risk together with Conan (this one can unbalance the scenario...). And ... if you dont like a bikinigirl? I think there is some alternatave from the Darksword miniatures too, check this out. You can use this Red Sonja even in Hyperboria! Here you find the miniature, its a female fighter, sculpted by Patrick Keith, based on a black and white drawing ftom Jeff Easley. https://www.darkswordminiatures.com/shop/index.php/female-fi...
