Hi there.
There was much discussion on the French-Speaking forum regarding lines of sight. @Roolz provided maps with LoS:
For the pict village: https://the-overlord.com/index.php?/topic/372-ldv-plateau-village-picte/
For the ships: https://the-overlord.com/index.php?/topic/378-lvd-bateaux/
For the ruined fort: https://the-overlord.com/index.php?/topic/377-ldv-fortin-en-ruines/
For the inn: https://the-overlord.com/index.php?/topic/376-ldv-taverne/
[edit ]I've added in each topic related to a map the diagram with lines of sight.[/edit]
I hope this is helping.

Getting very close to having the Core game, and all stretch goals / add-ons fully painted!
Kudos, @Epaka!
I can't imagine how much time you spent on it!
I hope you will show us the result of your hard work!

It was less painful (read: I had more fun) painting Savage Bêlit than the "regular" one. The face of the miniature was better shaped, with proper nose and mouth. Made the eyes at the first attempt. That was unexpected.
My wife was grumbling the whole time I was painting. It didn't happen with N'Gora. Go figure...

Strange. I just tried to download this scenario and it worked by me. It comes as a .rar archive and everything is okay and readable in it.

Hi there.
If I'm not mistaken:
There's 1 King Pledge scenario with skeletons and necromancer.
In the Campaign book, there's 3 scenarii where you fight skellies (and 3 more where you fight mummies).
In the Book of Set, there's 3 more scenarii with skeletons (and mummies) as opponents.

Here's a little something that will make the inn a little more enjoyable, once the bad guys are dealt with: a female servant, quite useful when you wish to order mead:
(Comes from the Innkeeper pack, at Fenryll's.)

And here, some furniture for the Inn, found by @NURTHOR:

I'm not offended by naked women per se, but I have the feeling that it could be nice to have other characters than women on the background of the forum. There's plenty of cool artwork in this game that would fit the part (dressed or not).
@WFPII, if the naked women are an issue, I think you can change the theme of the forum for something with less nudity, but related to Batman. I just can't find where that option stands right now. Does anyone around remember where it is? @SentMa?
By the way, @Iesthir, I'm not sure that argument is decisive:
QuoteRemember that English speaking community basically equals every other country that doesn't speak French so it is not worth much
Sure, there's a lot of native English-speakers in the world (thanks to the British), and people who don't speak French are likely to often speak English, although it's not their first language, but it doesn't imply that everyone speaking English share the OP's feelings about the backgrounds of the forum. Even among native speakers, they are different countries, cultures, opinions... as it occurs among native French-speakers. Not to mention that Monolith owns the forum and is free to give it the look as it sees fit.
That being said, I'd be glad with more variety/gender parity in the backgrounds of the forum, but I can deal with the present state of affairs, if Monolith has too much work or don't plan to tweak that right now or in the coming months/years.

No idea for the hard one, but my guess is that the easy one is Christine (1983). I haven't seen the movie, but if I'm not mistaken, King wrote an homonymous novel about a cursed car.

Hello. For me, I have no ideas for both movies. Maybe some clues could help the other players and me.

This is a good question.
I've seen people that painted the edge of the base in the color of the clip instead of using clips, or people doing what @Kheldor suggested to do, or did both. It looks fine.
Miniatures painted by Zovitch, on the French-speaking forum.
I chose to deal with the scratches because I wasn't sure that permanent color on the miniature would fit with all the scenarii.
For instance:
In the Clutches of the Picts:
- 4 blue Pict Hunters
- 4 green Pict Hunters
- 4 red Pict Hunters
- 3 purple Pict Hunters (if you don't have the Pict Warriors).
The Final Ritual:
- 3 yellow Pict Hunters
- 3 blue Pict Hunters
- 3 green Pict Hunters
- 3 red Pict Hunters
- 3 purple Pict Hunters (if you don't have the Pict Warriors).
With those two scenarii from the Retail box, you can see that permanent colors won't do, as both use the 15 Pict Hunters, but use them with different colors. I'm not sure how often this will happen, though. Maybe it's only those two scenarii, maybe this could happen with scenarii of the expansions too, maybe this doesn't happen if you possess an all in. You might want to check on that first, to see if you will get conflicts, depending on which version of the game you have.
It seems to me that it is less annoying to have scratches on the edge of the base (mine got scratched even with varnish), which are most of time hidden by the color clips, instead of having on your board miniatures whose color don't fit with the Overlord's River.
Scratches on my (varnished) miniatures, after a few games.

Yeah, maybe this one was too borderline, even with the additional clues. It was Teens in the Universe (1974). I hesitated with Aelita, but I'm not sure it would have been recognized easier. Maybe I should stay away from soviet movies.
You're right about the easy one, of course. Your turn.
-
Some clues:
The easy one is a classic pastiche of Star Wars, made in the eighties. Here's a new screenshot to help you:
The hard one is a sovietic sci-fy movie, with element of comedy, aiming at teenagers, released in 1974. According to a Latvian friend of mine it's quite a classic in countries that were part of the Soviet Union. Maybe this one is too difficult to find.

The easy one is Snake Eye (1998).
No idea for the hard one.

Yes and yes.
Provided you've got enough gems, you can use this spell as many time as you can afford it, as the spell card doesn't provide any saturation limit, like on the Pestilential Swarm, for instance, that you can cast only one time during your turn (cost of 3 gems, saturation at 3 gems).
The cost for casting the spell is the following:
1 gem in order to cast the spell, and 1 gem for each area. For instance, if Hadrathus wishes to teleport two times in a round, the first time three squares away, and the second time two squares away, it will cost him: 1+3+1+2=7 gems.

Just in case that Mehklis is wrong about the hard one, the easy one is The Quick and the Dead (1995).

Hi, @Naz316!
There is two ways to defend an unit in Conan (regardless if it is a Hero or one of the Overlord's creatures).
The icon with an helmet gives you the Passive Defense: this will apply regardless of if the player defends themselves or not. You find this on the Overlord's tiles or on equipment cards. It may be a number (that you will subtract from the number of success of the attack) or a die to roll (and you will subtract the number of success from the number of success of the attack).
The icon with a shield gives you the Guard, which is an Active Defense: this will apply only if the player use one gem (or more) to defend themselves. You find this on the Book of Skelos, on Hero Sheets or on equipment cards.
In your example, in order to use Belit's shield, the player has to use one gem (or more) in defense. The dice of the shield (or of any equipment card with the Shield Icon) are then added to the dice given by the gems used by the player. If the player chooses not to use gem(s) to guard, he may only subtract the Passive Defense from the number of success of the attack.
Two more things about Defense:
- There is a misprint on some Overlord's tiles, featuring an Active Defense icon, when it should be a Passive one. More about that on this topic:
- When falling damage occurs, the number of wounds is applied regardless of the Passive Defense, and it is not possible to use an Active Defense in order to be less wounded by the fall. The only way to reduce damage from falling is to have the Skill Leap ().
I hope I managed to explained it more clearly.
