Epaka Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Another rapid-fire paint job. Along with the Black Dragons, and the Black Ones, I finished 25 minis in 2 evenings. If I can keep at it, I might have my King Pledge and all the Add-Ons done soon. Then I can finally start on the 3 big expansions... 3
MeanBone Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 They look great, and on the tabletop, they look just as good as if you spent a week on them. 1
garbetsp Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 (edited) I wanted to experiment a bit with basing figuring the wolf model was a bit plain. I also have a theory that the base shouldn't overshadow or take the spotlight from the main model. So I've done the following to one wolf model. Next I'm going to try an icy surface under the wolf. Epaka Posted February 12, 2019 Author Posted February 12, 2019 Nice work @garbetsp! I TOTALLY agree that the wolf minis are very very plain, even lackluster. Compare them to the Foo Dogs, or Slasher to see what a scary looking wolf could look like. Hell, even with their soft details, the Hyenas are way better than these wolves. I might eventually get into basing my minis when I get cranking on Mythic Battles, but I generally just go black with the bases. Something about bases not matching all the possible game boards kind of bugs me. Also, I'm speed painting to get the minis onto my game table, so I've just not played around with bases yet. Your work here is inspiring me to give it a go. 😃 1
