    No more Conan until 2020??

I second Hasslefree and Heresy. Hasslefree have excellent sculpts, very dynamic and realistic (IMO). Heresy are quite good too, but the style is different. I didn't know IronWind, thanks for the info (I believe they have bought old molds/masters from way back: I spotted a very recognizable druid mini that I purchased and painted about 30 years ago !).

Any word on who's going to be at Gencon 2019? Will there be surprises? Demos? Swag? I'll be there on Friday.

    No more Conan until 2020??

Reaper is probably the biggest catalogue of possible proxies. If you want something with more exposed flesh but smaller selection Hasslefree is good. Heresy has some great sculpts at a higher price point. Also be sure to check out Iron Wind Metals. There are tons of great sculpts out there, but the price adds up quick and the great deal that the Monolith offerings provide becomes apparent with a little shopping.

    No more Conan until 2020??

1- Monolith has made the King Pledge files (cards, tiles, etc) downloadable in the files section: https://the-overlord.net/index.php?/files/category/1-resources/ 2- Difficult to see. Always in motion is the future. 3- There are many small and medium-sized minis publishers. Reaper is one of the most famous medium-sized, with thousands of models to pick from. But just google and you'll find lots of others. Edit: quickest and cheapest option (less sthematic, though) is simply to use unused minis from the retail box, since no scenario uses all the minis. 4- AFAIK, either people bought one part or all of the 3 large expansions (and get the corresponding extra gameplay in addition to the retail box), or PnP'ed+proxied using the files linked above, or bought a second-hand king pledge and sold/gave-away/used-for-other-stuff their retail copy.

    No more Conan until 2020??

Hello All, This is my first post, I unfortunately missed the Conan Kickstarter and was unable to acquire a King's Pledge at that time. I have been trying for a few months to purchase it on eBay and BGG. The prices are just too high at this point for me to make the buy, I understand the licensing issue and in the back of my mind I had resigned myself to just waiting and looking forward to a future Kickstarter. Until I saw the retail edition core box on sale at Amazon a few days ago, I broke down and could wait no longer. So I made the purchase (that I had been thinking about making before I resigned myself to not making it). This leads me to asking a few questions I hope someone can help me with. 1. How can I make up the difference in content between retail and KPledge to play scenarios the require KP content, such as the ones included in the Modiphius Sourcebook? 2. Would there be a pledge level that takes into account the fact that some people bought the retail edition and would like to complete the collection? 3. Is there a recommended site to purchase minis to use as proxies? 4. Is there anyone else that is in a similar situation and found a solution they would share? In any case, I love the material you guys are putting out. I own and play Claustrophobia 1643 and just completed my BGCC pledge and I can't wait for that to come in. I appreciate any responses.

    Shinobi7 acquire Conan rights

I think what needs to happen is the industry needs to get away from the mm references for scale. We should start using 1:58 or whatever the appropriate ratio is. https://alkony.enerla.net/english/nexus-english/miniatures-nexus/miniature-hobby/miniatures-a-question-of-size-and-scale-explaining-miniature-size-and-miniature-scale

LOL, the version in the Book of Set doesn't have the flame tokens. Now I see Monolith updated the version on the website to include the flame tokens.

Be that as it may, Monolith refers to the miniatures in Conan as ‘32mm’. Also, as much as I love the huge selection of miniatures in Conan, they cannot really be described as consistent when it comes to scale. Even just with the minis representing Conan himself there are big differences in height. Never mind the fact that the Villagers from the Corinthia Expansion tower over everyone! Lol. Correct or not, I see ‘32mm’ used as a descriptor of mini size quite a bit around the miniature gaming industry. It seems that there really isn’t an ironclad standard for mini sizing. Reaper Miniatures calls their various lines of minis 25mm. Games Workshop seems to use 25mm, 32mm, and 40mm as sizing standards. At any rate, regarding the new Shinobi7 (S7) game; I’m such a hopeless Conan collector that I went ahead and pledged for the game. The mini designs look cool enough. They aren’t breaking any new ground, especially with the main Conan mini - who really looks like he is based on a 90’s comic book rendition of Conan, as opposed to a literary one. I do like the design for Valeria, and some of the others look nice too. As for the game itself, I’d also say that it isn’t breaking any new ground. Seems like a very simplistic ‘dudes fighting on a board’ kind of game. There certainly doesn’t seem to be much excitement around the game over on KickStarter, as there was for Monolith’s Conan campaign. I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t even manage to reach it's funding goal! We shall see.

They are the 3 flame tokens shown in the map.
  23. I wasn't aware of this thread and originally posted my question here: I copy-paste the content here: I have detected some "issues" (for now only on the Subway map). Please see screenshot below with the red lines I included, that I think they should have Line of Sight. The questions are: 1) If there's LOS between Z and the area between the 2 wagons, why there's no LOS between Z-D?. LOS is not interrupted by the wall on Z (only by a millimetre, but it is not interrupted), and the two markers see each other. 2) There is LOS between Z and B/C but not to A. How so? If I didn't have the tool I would not have resolved it this way. Is it possible that the tool has some errors on this map/board? I would appreciate if the developers of the tool could double-check. If there are no mistakes, then could someone kindly explain why my red lines do not have LOS? Thank you very much. Miniature scale is traditionally measured from bottom of feet to eye level. A 6' tall man being the reference point of the scale. A 28mm scale miniature could measure 32mm tall, but it is referred to as 28mm scale.

I am pretty sure the Monolith miniatures are 32mm. Still, not really sold on the Shinobi game. I would only really be in for the miniatures and we haven't seen any production models, and there just are not that many miniatures in it (although many of the digital sculpts do look great - I especially love the pose of Tascela; it seems to capture her attitude and character well).

Ugh. 32mm S7 Conan Savage Legends I'm out, want to save for the Monolith offering when it comes. I try to stick to 25-28mm only

How totally cool! I bought the winged ape model just for Conan and now I have a campaign in which it stars! Thank you for doing this.
