Congrats to Dr.Mauric. His scenario, First Mistake, Last Mistake has been selected to appear in the first English Overlord Compendium. I am hoping to add a second scenario from these submissions but have to see about space. So there's a possibility that one more will be chosen. I'll let you know as soon as I can. @Pallantides I'm super excited about this. I was hoping this book would be translated into English since I first saw it in French. I'd also recommend everyone checkout the 3 issues of Skelos: The Journal of Weird Fiction and Dark Fantasy. It's put together by 3 Howard scholars and each issue is teeming with fiction, art, criticism, and reviews. Great stuff. Besides, issue one includes a story by yours truly and also a previously unpublished piece by some guy named Robert E. Howard.

Well, it's morning on the East Coast of Canada, so...
Anyway, if you have been tweaking a scenario in hopes to get it into the English version of the Overlord Compendium, you have until Saturday to post it up here in the comments. We've got wheels (of pain) in motion on this project and it's really starting to come together for our English fans (more info soon). So, Saturday, December 16th is the cut off, but if you can get it in sooner. Asap is best. 

Also, I really want to hear from those who have played these. Be a champion for your choice. Pm me or post up your impressions in this thread and tell me/us why you think it's worthy. Let's hear it!

Oh, and a big thanks to all who've posted up already! 

Sorry for the delay, folks. We were deciding whether to award the prize to our English or French pick and decided it best to award one for each site. Congrats to Cassiday from the French community and @AgentZero from the  English. We'll get in touch about how/when you can receive your prize.

Here are the official answers: 

- Can Hyenas carry gold, or be considered as part of the ‘Human Chain’? => NO - Is the OL allowed to look at the value amount of the gold bag/treasure chest tokens that he has moved off the board? Does he keep that amount hidden from Heroes? => No the OL can't. The values are hidden for every player (Heroes and OL) - As part of the 'Human Chain' event, can the Overlord's units pass the gold bags/chests through the windows of the cellars - as they are adjacent areas with LOS? => No he can't

Check out the new 'contest' up. You don't stand to win anything substantial, but if you've written a scenario, make sure it's posted on the-overlord. 

Know that it doesn't need to be a brand new scenario: it just needs to be fan-made and be in English.

Believe it or not, we are actually working on getting the English version of the Overlord book to you. This is already available for our French community, but I wanted to give our English scenario writers a chance to put their stamp on the book. So, if you've been working on your own scenario for Conan, get it done! Help each other out. Test a few. Provide feedback. Perhaps we'll put it to a vote, or maybe we'll select one internally. 

I realize this isn't much of a lucrative contest, but it may allow you to get your work in print and become forever immortalized in the Nemedian Chronicles. I'll remind you when the time is drawing close and we have to decide, but don't dally.  A month's time is probably all you have. 

Upload or post a link to your scenario in the comments below, so that I may have them all in one place. 

*this does not need to be a brand new scenario; it just needs to be fan-made, in English, and on the-overlord. 

@Odolontres, I'm not sure which scenarios you're referring to. I have yet to encounter one I thought was grossly unbalanced. I have, however, encountered a few people who didn't truly grasp Overlord's play style. The only unbalanced thing I would say is the fact that the Overlord player must be more careful with his strategy and make fewer mistakes.

We are deliberating on the choices now, folks. There are just many things in motion and we want to be sure to have a look at the submissions, narrow the list (which we already have), and then look again. Soon. 

I'm so glad you're all liking my Red Nails idea. Seemed an obvious choice for an expansion to me. Let's see if it happens. Keep voting! 

@Tefen, @Primeval is correct, my solo rules campaign features 8 scenarios in a campaign where you accumulate gear and other elements of progression and use a the board game rules and does not require a player controlled Overlord.  It's gone over well in playtests and should hopefully be available in a few months. The book is currently in editing.

Turns out, originally you were allowed to re-roll the same die multiple times as long as you had re-roll symbols (of the same color die) to spare. That got axed somewhere along the way. I still play allowing the multiple re-rolls and intend to keep doing so. But officially, this is wrong.

@iso250, that's literally what I'm here for. That, and the fact that I love the game :) Again, I can't get specific about what we will or will not re-print, but I'll keep it in mind as we approach that time. My thoughts are, we'd allow re-print whatever people wanted as long as it's realistic and won't slow the production of the new KS. If offering everything proves problematic, I'll suggest we do a survey to see what the must-haves are from the communities p.o.v. 

Khel's skin does not look Iron, IMO. If it did, Howard would have described its metallic sheen. It's hard as Iron, but he looks like a big man.

@iso250 @Gamebooty, The most we can say about the re-prints is that they may be available during the Conan 2019 KS campaign. Can't confirm because it's still a little ways into the future and we're firmly focused on Batman at the moment.
