Mythic Battles: Pantheon

  1. 3-5 players - Complex - King box + SG " A scenario full of testosterones with Conan Warlord, Pallantides, Balthus and Kerim Shah who will fight against 5 monsters and a wizard for a total of more than 50 Life Points. " Download : Back to Scarlet Citadel
  2. Rescue at the top 4 players - Easy - Core box + Khitai expansion Download : RescueAtTheTop.pdf It's a very simple scenario, quick and brutal.

  7. Two different versions of the Brutal Hammer. It give the holder of such weapon the skills of circular strike and wall wrecker, but comes at the price of 5 encumbrance. I hope to create a scenario soon that will use this. Let me know if there is a preferred file type other than jpg. Thanks
  8. This uses Core Box (retail) components. The heroes are trapped in an old fortress waiting for reinforcements. Can they protect Belit until the end of the 8th round? Can the Overlord get through the defenses the players can build? Heroes: Conan, Belit (w/ three guards), Shevatas, and Hrdarthus OL: Bossonian Guards and Archers, Captain, Skulthus, and the Outer Dark Demon (if summoned). Sorcery has a terrible cost, so summoning the demon costs 1 health or 1 of Skulthus' spells. Let me know what you think! 868 (2).pdf
  9. This is my first attempt at a scenario. I had two main goals in creating this scenario: 1. Use the core box 2. Add a new mechanic For the second of those, I added barricades and the defensive use of rubble. Not that this is ground-breaking, but I thought it would be interesting to force the Heroes into defensive roles and give options of making physical barriers instead of attacking or hiding. Thank you! 868.pdf
  10. "After having spent the last of their ill-gotten gains from a rich but unfortunate merchant vessel, the Tigress got caught in a severe storm. But thanks to the skill of the heroes and the hardy crew of the Tigress, they survived Nature's fury. Now, with the seas calm once more, the lookout spots another ship. It appears to have taken severe damage from the storm, lying dead in the water. An easy target for the experienced pirates of the Tigress. Checking equipment and preparing to board, they maneuver the Tigress alongside the other ship. Suddenly a shudder runs through the hull. The crew looks around nervously, and then several enormous tentacles erupt from the sea as from an octopus of truly staggering proportions! Crewmen are picked up and pulled screaming to their deaths below the suddenly frothing waters. And as a laughter as cold and terrible as the crushing depths rolls in from the other vessel, foul sorcery reaches out with its claws of pestilence. Those of the crew of the Tigress it touches are transformed into mindless monstrosities bent on killing the heroes! Conan, Bรชlit, Hadrathus and Shevatas will have to act quickly to kill the sorcerer controlling the tentacled horror from the dark waters below, and prevent the monster from tearing the Tigress apart, killing them all!" Pdf of scenario created using the fantastic web-site www.conan-scenarios.com. Required for this scenario: Core box Kickstarter stretch goals Bone Golem Piles of Skulls Tentacles (10) Skeletons (6) Mummies (6) Savage Bรชlit Conan the Wanderer Spells Dagon's Attack Hand of Death Ymir's Rage spell Dread Horror on the High Seas.pdf
  11. There are some superb projects in the works by folks that have a clear idea of what they're doing and more importantly a clear idea of how they're going to do it. Just a statement of future intent - no idea of the specific steps required. Karl Edward Wagner's stories of Kane are some of my favourite written works ever The materials that brought Conan to life in this game will work for Kane too and it MUST be done If you haven't read them then do. Until you do anti-hero is just some letters.
  12. ..including beasts and undead from Conan! Moved post here as much more suitable Kathulus and I were discussing using other minis in Conan and vice versa Which got me onto a long posting: Me too, I run a steampunk rpg game for the wife and have always had an underlying thread of mythos behind the scenes, never needed any major minis as they mostly work through human thralls and avoid any chance of the general public glimpsing anything unexplainable. Trouble is when I finally save enough to grab a copy with the expansions I'll fail to exercise restraint and her plucky band will face Nyarlethotep most days ;0) I'm really looking forward to using them for skirmish games tho, some of the most fun I've had in recent years is running supernatural skirmishes. I began with a system that's a patchwork of firefight/skirmish house rules having wargamed for years. I was making it up as I went along but none of them ever realised. It is huge fun but now they know I'm planning to buy Lobotomy and Deep madness they're getting very very scared. There's so much potential in minis and gameboards/aids from the recent glut of horror/SF/fantasy games that contain these great minis, I haven't seen them in the flesh yet but really hope the Dr Who minis are in a useable scale, at least the clockwork robots and the screaming statues.. I've already ruled out Skynet sending back future altering agents given I hate the minis on offer The old XCom games led to the central idea, the campain structure and the pattern of adventures. I run tabletop games using boards from Dust Tactics and Zombicide etc, or my tiny range of 28mm tabletop buildings (add a sandpaper carpark and it's surprising how you can fill up the table!). We often start out in the wilderness due to a friend's really good home made Vietnam terrain, switching to game boards when they get into a factory or underground base. I began with a system that's a patchwork of firefight/skirmish house rules having wargamed for years. I was making it up as I went along but none of them ever realised. It is huge fun but now they know I'm planning to buy Lobotomy and Deep madness they're getting very very scared. My players each have a persistant large regular force, or a much more highly skilled small special forces team that get tasked to face wildly differing supernatural incursions. Campaign development for individual characters is tailored for each team. They love their guys and the storm of panic fire when they see their first tentacled horror will be "Fire and fury" like Trump has never imagined heh. Using everything from my son's plastic dinosaurs - I had no idea he had a full drawer of them, to tyranids (bizarrely evolved future species breaking through time rifts to reach the past - straight steal from the Primeval UK TV programme). From psychic teenage gangs to invisible hauntings (no models used all that session just whisps of grey cotton wool on 25mm bases, fire and movement versus sporadic possession and (un)friendly fire). John Carpenter's The Thing - not quite as carniverous and stashed the character it substituted for when it joined the team heh. When one of my friends begged to join the price was to make me 20 Triffids, they're gorgeous and led to the memorable lighthouse scenario where the players were convinced the threat would come from the sea.... psych! One of the best games ran to 3 sessions each playthrough, it started with three packets of slightly out of scale plastic baboons I picked up on a visit to the zoo .Undercoat, inkwash, eyes and mouth with a fine sharpie - get them on the table! With "Ceasar" being largely indistinguishable from the rest I had a secret genetics research project where the baboons appeared to have developed near human level intelligence and had taken over. They led the incursion teams through the motor pool buildings where they'd released the giant rattlesnake project, then fooled most of them into venturing down into the small underground power and water plant, where the various giant spider species held rein. The baboons kept up a steady guerilla (pun intended) action through the labs and out into the forest and it turned out that Ceaser was no smarter than the others, but he did have a small genius white labrat in his jacket pocket that given a couple of weeks could break down and psychicly take over the weak minded. Yes... he was trying to take over the world... How else could you meld Planet of the apes, Arachnaphobia, Anaconda and finish off with Pinky and the Brain??????? Usually the rat got away I've painted some of the suitable zombicide mob as if they were just humans just behaving oddly to introduce HRT and civilian casualty rules (They still work just as well as fresh zombies for zombicide games (which my 8yr old loves and it's gotten him past the zombie night terrors that came of me watching pirates of the carribean with him - bad idea). I've painted up any figure that looked like it was wearing a labcoat (even some victorian era well dressed minis look great with the coat painted white, the top hat removed and the waistcoat painted garishly). I'd always worried about subsequent players knowing what was coming once someone else had played but this is now really competetive and you couldn't beat the secrets out of them heh We play it infrequently whenever I get a good idea. Nowadays with 9 players having developed teams (some of the originals have restarted and have 2 teams (only allowed one active team), it's more like a fantasy football league. When I come up with a new premise I'll be running it over and over and to help with that we now have multi-teamed co-op adventures that are insane but twice as much fun. The North Carolina National Guard were way, way out ahead (to the point where I felt the team mechanics were broken), until that deeply regrettable retreat under cover of grenades - who knew swamp gas was such a hazard. Most of the smaller teams set off small pockets with gunfire and quickly adapted but the guard are still recruiting to refill the rifle teams with panicky teenagers and nervous dentists. So far I've resisted a hellboy team as they'd all want it heh My 2 favourites teams have to be the 1. The Death Row volunteers (orange jumpsuits and much use of pain collars for motivational purposes and not so good at the investigational side of things) 2.the Misfits (tiny team combining special forces training and some usable psychic potential - mostly sensitives but with a developing pyrokinetic and a lady that among other things, once each game can roll the game back 2d2 rounds (double cointoss) and a random consequence (headache, dice mods for the replayed duration etc) but with a fail and random unpleasant consequence if she rolls 4 (unconsciousness 2d3 rounds if treated else rest of game, coma - roll for recovery each game, demonic possession..) Have a team going inactive due to an overworked player with an unexpected patter of tiny feet, so I'm working out recruitment mechanics for a new team the Radicalised Asylumists, mostly batman minis, asylum as in hospital not humanitarian refuge - we were drunk and the name stuck. Control options/points depend on the nurse/orderly/patient ratio, some of the orderlies are pretty handy too. The more worrying the patient, the more powerful but then if an effective level of sedation isn't chosen (limits ability) or perish the thought he's been hiding his meds all week instead of taking them...
  13. 5 player - Normal - King Box + SGs + Kushites WitchHunters "Conan and his comrades are partying alongside Kushite warriors of the Bamula tribe, fittingly celebrating their recent successful raid against the enemy clan of the Jihihi. As the party is in full swing and the Yarati beer flows freely, the best warriors of the tribe challenge the Cimmerian and his friends from the North. In the village there is a camel that is a bit nasty and recalcitrant. The beast was stolen to Stygians and seems to be willing to obey only to his former masters. The goal of the game explained by the laughing and fairly drunk warriors is quite simple: to be the first to manage calming the animal let loose in the camp and frightened by the party noises. The participants will only have a bit of food to try and soften the camel with no holds barred against the opposite team." http://mathhatt.free.fr/conan/whatsgotintoit.pdf Thanks to Matthieu Hatt for English translation
  14. 5 players - 3 ravens - King pledge, stretch goals, add-on Kushite hunters "In this scenario, Conan and his friends are hunting a giant reptilian creature to bring its heart to the King's alchemist. The Overlord controls picts and Kushite hunters that try to protect the reptile they consider as a god." Ideally, the Komodo dragon mini sold by PapoTM is used to represent the Megalania. Alternatively, the Dragon or the Giant Serpent can be used. Synopsis "Conan and his friends have been commissioned by the Kingโ€™s alchemist to bring him the heart of a Megalania, a nearly extinct giant reptilian creature that dwells in the muddy swamps of a forest far from the Capital. It is the last missing ingredient to an old formula that could grant an extended life to the King, and he has promised the group led by Conan a preposterous sum of gold if they can deliver the precious and rare organ. After several days in the swamps fighting mosquitos, Conan and his friends have finally tracked down the beast and managed to lure it to the ruins of an abandoned village in which its movements will be hindered, so they hope they will be able to bring it down. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to them, the Megalania is worshipped by a tribe of picts recently passed under the control of a Kushite sorcerer and his warriors. Discovering that strangers are tracking their serpent god to kill it, they move in numbers to protect itโ€ฆ." Download hunting the Megalania Although it is not required to play the scenario, the following tile can be used.
  15. 3 players - Easy Rules - Core Box + SGs "A tight grip around his sword handle until his knuckles turn white, Conan cautiously nears the ruins of a fishermenโ€™s village abandoned for ages. Like a panther lying in the wait, the Cimmerian warrior seems ready to pounce at his prey. Yet today he is not the hunter but rather the game. Along with Olgerd Vladislav, the ex-leader of the Kozaki from the Zaporoska river, he is about to mercilessly fight for his survival. A week before, the group of Zuagir looters led by Olgerd was defeated by Turanians who grew tired of their abuses throughout the land. He and Conan are the only ones who survived the massacre in the desertโ€™s sands. Forced to flee towards the Vilayet sea, they were captured by Count Zariff, a Turanian noble desperate for thrills. Instead of executing them straight away, the Count led them to an island where he practices his favorite sport: the manhunt. For the two Zuagir men, the rules made by the Count are simple: they will have to vanquish the horde of creatures let loose on their heels if they want to recover their freedom." themostbarbarousgame.pdf Thanks to Matthieu Hatt for English translation

  24. 5 players - 3 ravens - King pledge, stretch goals, add-ons black dragons, demon of the earth, Xavier Colette Box "In this scenario, Pelias a warned King Conan of an imminent danger: a very powerful sorcerer is opening a tear in the fabric of space and time through which demons will enter our dimension. A race against the clock to close the portal starts..." Synopsis: "The powerful and dangerous sorcerer Pelias has finally met his match. Rumors of a mighty wizard coming from distant lands were true. And Pelias, for the first time in ages, is frightened. Drawn to the tremendous power like an insect by a torchlight, he tracked the mysterious being to an abandoned rotten village in the middle of a boggy forest near the Capital of Aquilonia. There he discovered its ungodly purpose: to summon a horde of demons from outer dimensions that will do his bidding and help him ravage Aquilonia... and beyond. Pelias realized he would not be able to stop this mighty enemy alone, so he went to his former enemy Conan the King, for help. He luckily managed to convince him of the gravity of the danger threatening their world. Conan assembles his personal guard, his general Pallantides and the scout Balthus. Led by Pelias, they near the ruins of the village half-buried in the muddy swamp. As soon as they arrive, they are confronted with undead warriors that seem to prevent access to the center of the village. From a distance they catch sight of the menacing sorcerer, standing on a rock in front of an impossible sight: some kind of swirling tear in the fabric of space and time seems to hold above the ground in mid-air, while strange-looking tall humanoids are chanting a dark incantation. Suddenly, a strange and hideous creature emerges from the portal and lands on the ground with an otherworldly shout full of hate and fury..." They ignore that the garrison Captain has betrayed his King, seduced by an old enemyโ€™s promises of riches and lust. The traitor has poured a drug in the food of his garrison, depriving them of reasoning, forcing them to obey him blindly. Only two elite guards resisted the drug and were thrown in jail. The captain has also ordered the daughter of a nearby village (as well as her faithful servant) to be captured as hostages, to prevent the loyal subjects of the King to foment any uprising. Informed by scouts that Conan is coming, he decides to ambush him. Unsuspecting, Conan and his friends enter the fort. As soon as they pass the gate, the portcullis closes behind them with a sinister noise. They are trapped between soldiers suddenly rushing from both sides, and archers appearing above them behind battlements. The captain yells โ€œbring me the head of the old Lion!โ€. Fortunately, Belit was delayed and arrives just after the portcullis has been closed. Perhaps will she be able to help her friends out of this perilous situation by entering stealthy into the fort ?
